Phase I clone trooper armor was standard issue armor used by the Clone Troopers in the Republic army. It was created by the Kaminoans, like the clones that wore the armor. It was made up of white plastoid and would be work over the black Republic body glove. The Phase I armor was considered to be fairly uncomfortable for the clones that wore it, mostly in the groin region, due to the Kaminoans making it not having a full grasp on human anatomy. It was made up of 20 armor plates that sealed to the body glove underneath by magnatomic gription panels. The armor in conjunction with the body glove together were pressurized which allowed for temporary protection to the wearer in the vacuum of space. The Phase I armor took some inspiration in design from Mandalorian armor, such as the armor worn by the clone's donor, Jango Fett, especially with the T-shaped visor. Phase I clone armor was however very customizable with various different attachments including macrobinoculars, rangefinders, or visors on the helmet or pauldrons or kamas. Inside the helmet was a life support system, tracking device, a display screen, comlink and a comlink antenna built into the helmet's fin.
