1.3 tolly ho and snowed in

"I'm so sorry I'm late." I tell Colby as I rush to him in the library. I was in the music hall, practicing for my recital and I lost track of time.

He had his feet propped up on the table and he was balancing a pencil on his nose.

"It's okay, I don't feel like studying anyway." I looked at Colby to see if he was being serious.

He honestly surprises me. "What do you mean you don't wanna study?" I asked him.

He looked at me which made his pencil fall. "I'm passing journalism. My exam isn't for another two weeks so I have time." He plants his feet on the ground.

"If you don't want to study, then what do you wanna do?" I raise an eyebrow towards him as he smirks towards me.

"Let's go explore an abandoned building." I dropped my jaw towards him. I could tell he was being serious.

"Are you crazy? You do know it's December and we're supposed to get an ice and snow storm tonight." I remind him.

He groans and rolls his eyes. "Fine, let's stay overnight in a bowling alley." He suggested something else.

"How about something not illegal?" He scrunched his nose towards me when I said that.

"You sure know how to take the fun out of things." Even though we were starting to be friends, he was still annoying.

"Colby." I tell him sternly. He raises his hands up in defense. "Okay fine. Just please get me out of studying." He begged.

I sighed in defeat, I honestly don't feel like studying either. "Okay fine. I don't wanna stay out too late though." I remind him.

I don't want to drive or be in the ice storm. A big smile grew onto his face.

We gathered our stuff and walked out of the library. It was freezing out here.

The wind will take your breath away. "What do you wanna do?" I ask him as we walk to my car.

It's closer than his car. "Wanna go to Tolly Ho? I'm starving." I was pretty hungry too.

I agreed so when we get to my car, we quickly climb in and start it up. I plugged my phone to my aux so I could play music.

"If you play that girly shit, I swear I'll jump out." I laugh knowing that's not what I listen to.

I started playing R.I.P 2 My Youth by The Neighbourbood while I started driving. He seemed pleased knowing he leaned back and looked out.

It was raining a little bit so I made sure to keep my eyes on the road. I played The Neighbourhood for most of the drive.

When we get to Tolly Ho, we get out of the car and quickly walk inside. It was warm in here which I liked.

We ordered our food, and went to sit down at our usual table. He was facing towards the door and I could see him roll his eyes.

"Look at who just showed up." I turn towards the door to see Hannah walking towards the counter.

I groaned and rolled my eyes as I shrunk in my chair. "She's like a roach." Colby snorted with laughter whenever I said that.

"She for sure looks like one." He insulted her. It was my turn to snort with laughter.

I glanced at her to see she was glaring over towards us. "How come you don't like her?" I ask curiously.

"We were at a party last year and she bumped into me. She tried hitting on me but got mad cause I rejected her." He explained.

"When she realized I was rejecting her, she spread some nasty rumors about me." I can see her doing that.
