2.3 aquarium and shopping

Even though we're a couple days in, spring break has been extremely fun. We spent the first two days on the beach, soaking up the sun.

I'm a little bit burnt so I'm not too upset it's raining today. Since it's raining and we don't feel like sitting on the beach, we have other plans.

We're going to an aquarium and shopping for some souvenirs, but mainly for ourselves.

I was currently getting ready for the day. I had on a white tube top with a Hawaiian dad shirt on over it with white jeans.

I saw the outfit on pintrest and I really liked it. I was going to go natural with my face and left my hair natural too.

I put on my checkerboard vans and head downstairs with everyone. "Everyone ready?" Sam asked while walking in.

We all nodded and headed out to the cars. We figured we'd head to the aquarium first.

I think it's going to be really fun. I get into the car with Seth and Colby like usual.

We talked about what we were excited to see. I couldn't wait to see the penguins.

I was always fascinated by them for some odd reason. I just loved how when penguins find their mate, they give them a rock.

When we get to the aquarium, we all walk in and pay. We head inside and I was in awe when we walked in.

I haven't been to an aquarium in forever, probably since Amelia and I were kids.

Walking around there was honestly really fun. I looked over at Colby to see he was really enjoying himself.

I was honestly really happy we came here. I don't know why, but when we were in the tunnel where the animals were all around us, Colby looked good.

The glow of the water hitting his face made him look good. I couldn't help but stare at him for a minute.

I made sure to look away before he caught me. The whole aquarium was honestly really fun.

I could tell everyone was enjoying themselves. I got really excited whenever we got to the part with the penguins.

When we got done, we walked into the gift shop. We all thought it'll be funny to get a stuffed animal.

I picked out a penguin, of course. Ainsley got a sea turtle, which is cute. Stas got a dolphin and Seth got a walrus.

Kat got a sea otter, which would've been my second choice. Sam got a shark and finally, Colby got a squid.

It was all super random but I think it fits all of our personalities. Once we left the aquarium, we went to Pier Park.

Pier Park is like a giant outdoor outlet mall with stores, restaurants, and gift shops. The rain has eased up so it might stop here soon.

We park our cars and we start walking around. There was an Ice Cream shop we saw when we walked in so we figured we'd go there first.

I got a vanilla soft served ice cream knowing it was my favorite. "That's basic." Colby came over towards me as I paid.

I laughed as I rolled my eyes. "Leave me alone." I laughed at the brunette. I give him a look as I walk outside.

Once we had all of our ice cream, we all started walking. I couldn't help but look around at everything.

"You seem to be enjoying everything." Seth tells me while we walked. We were straggling a little bit.

I smile a little bit towards him. "Yeah, I'm just really happy to be here." I tell him.

As we walked and ate our ice cream, Sam and Colby started laughing at something.

"You know, he's changed since you two became friends." Seth admitted. I looked at him half surprised.

"Who, Colby?" He nodded his head towards me. "It's just nice to see him open up and let people in." Seth tells me.

I nodded my head in agreement. "I've noticed him change a lot from when we started talking." I notice.

He really has changed a lot. When I first met him, he wasn't a very happy person. He was super rude and judgmental.

But in the span of just a few short months, he opens up. It's like he's a completely different person.

I'm super proud of him honestly. "I have too. I'm happy that he agreed to come down." I was really worried that he wouldn't.

"Me too, I think it'll be good for him." He admits. I looked over at Colby to see he was talking and laughing with Sam.

"I think you two are good for each other." He speaks out loud. I giggle a little while I look at him.

"You gossip like a girl." I joke with him. He dropped his jaw towards me and lightly pushed me.

I couldn't help but laugh. I looked at our group to see Colby eyeing me and Seth.

His face was blank but his eyes weren't. Was there a hint of jealousy in them or was it something completely different?

I honestly couldn't tell. Colby acted strange for the rest of the day. Since it cleared up, we decided to lay out on the beach for an hour or two.

Colby barely talked or looked over at me. We did have to come back up so we could get ready for dinner.

I was one of the first ones ready. I realized Colby was ready too, and smoking outside.

I decided to go out there and try to talk to him. I walk out there, keeping my eyes on him.

"You okay out here?" I ask grabbing his attention. He turned to me with a eyebrow raised.

He brought the cigarette up to his lips while looking away. "I'm surprised you're not flirting with Seth." He sounded mad.

Was he pissed at me? And where did he get the idea of me flirting with Seth. I furrow my eyebrows towards him.

"What do you mean, flirting with Seth? We're just friends." I remind him. This whole situation is strange.

He shakes his head like he doesn't believe me. "That's not what it looked like this whole trip." He denies what I said.

"You do know Seth and I see each other as siblings right?" I ask him. Seth is like the older brother I never had.

"Hell, if you ask him I'm sure he'll say the same thing." I tell him. I don't believe Colby's jealous.

If he is, that means he might have feelings for me and Colby Brock doesn't have feelings for me.

He even admitted to me that he was scared to fall for someone else. Even if he did, that person wouldn't be me.

He flicks his cigarette on the ground and stomps on it. He turns over to look at me.

"So, you and Seth aren't a thing?" He asked while stepping closer towards me.

I shake my head no towards him. Before I could say anything else, the door opened up.

"Are you two okay out here?" Sam asked causing me to turn over at him.

I looked over at Colby to see him nodding. "Yeah, we're both good." He answers. Sam nods his head for a moment and goes back in.

I swallow while I look over at Colby. "We should get back in there." He agrees so we walk back inside.

There's tension between Colby and myself. I feel like something would've happened if Sam didn't come out.

We all go out to dinner and it was a really fun time. We went to Sharky's which is another restaurant on the beach.

They were doing karaoke so we dared Seth and Stas to go out there. Us girls did it knowing Stas has a slight thing for Seth.

I made sure to record them knowing it was really funny watching them. I think they honestly looked really cute together.

When they came back to the table, Seth had a huge smile on his face while Stas was a little bit red.

I don't want to leave this trip.
