Chapter 20

*flasback continues*

Holding Aina's hand, his narrowed eyes couldn't help but look into hers. She was taken aback by his reaction but couldn't help but gasp softly.

For some strange reason, she was flattered by how he wanted her to stay with him. She even felt as if her mind was sobered for a small moment and was replaced by the intoxication of Chishiya's touch. However, she did not resist it.

"Okay, stay here. I'll go." Kuina spoke up suddenly with a very strange tone in her voice.

She didn't understand what was going on between the two of them.

Kuina went to Chishiya's bathroom but didn't find any towels in it.

"How come you don't have any towels here? What are you wiping your hands on?!" cried Kuina nervously, slamming the light switch in the bathroom and reappearing next to the pair, who were still holding hands.

"I'm going to get a towel, I'll be right back." She said and immediately disappeared behind the door of the room, which she slammed behind her.

At that moment, Aina gently moved to shake Chishiya's hand from hers, with which he squeezed her wrist more and more, causing her a little pain.

That's why Chishiya let her go and let Aina sit next to him. Sighing, she placed her hands on her thighs and slowly turned her head towards him.

She noticed a harmless smirk appear on his lips and his eyes sparkled more and more by the second.

It was obvious that he was drunk, although he always tried to cover it up by saying that he knew when he had had enough.

"Your face will be all swollen tomorrow." Aina said, looking at Chishiya's face, the lower part near his lips and nose covered in his blood.

"You are just overacting. He only punched me once." He laughed with a smirk on his lips and with a deep breath he lay back on his back on the soft mattress.

Aina rolled her left side back a little to watch Chishiya putting his hands under his head.

However, after a small moment of silence, she turned towards and waited for Kuina to free her from this awkward silence between her and Chishiya.

However, she still did not appear.

"You smell nice." Chishiya spoke from behind Aina.

She quickly turned towards him. Chishiya lay in the same position as a moment ago. He was smiling with his eyes closed and his hands still supporting his head.

"Huh?"

"Don't pretend you didn't hear me." He opened his eyes again and gave her a brief look that caused her hands to shake slightly and goosebumps to run down her spine.
