Commander Jeon

Chapter Seven

Spring is here . So is the spring fest of Goryeo. And I want to visit it, but Commander Jeon specially warned me not to step out of the castle, but I will. After completing my So called maid duty, I snuck out of the castle. I wore a robe, I hope no one would notice me.

It's very crowded here. I could see different people of different age groups. There are kids, youngsters and elders having a beautiful smile on their faces. I usually don't use to come in crowded places a lot back in my town. And coming in a crowded place alone is a big deal for me.

There are beautiful flowers, with a beautiful fragrance. There are jewellery shops, food shops, clothes shops, and many more. But I can't buy anything because I don't have money. Now talking about money I wonder will they pay me for being Commander's personal servant.

I went to a jewellery shop, if my mother was alive I would have come here with her. She used to shop a lot. There is a small beautiful necklace, I love it.

I was admiring the necklace but, "You stole that ring." A man said pointing out at the small ring made of pearl in my pinky finger. "Hey, she is a thief." I flinched. I don't even have a clue what in the hell is going on.

"Here you are. You pick this ring, wore it and didn't even paid for it." The Shopkeeper said.

"No, it's mine." I tried to explain but they aren't ready to hear. My parents gave me that on my 16th birthday. I can't let it go.

"You see the Audacity of this girl?" He said to other people standing here. He came closer to me and pulled down my robe. A few more people also started to come to see the drama. But I don't think any of them recognizes me. "You are lying. Give me your hand."

"No" I shouted and tried to keep my hand to myself only. "I am not lying. It's mine-" They didn't believe me.

"Hey, what's going on here?" A deep commanding voice came from the crowd. The crowd made the way for the man, their Commander in chief, Jeon Jungkook. My eyes met his. As grateful as I am seeing him here, I also can notice his I warned you look.

"Commander, nice to meet you." Everyone bowed.

"Come to the point. What's the matter?" Jungkook asked making everyone go silent.

"She stole this ring from my shop and now she isn't returning it. Bloody thief." Shopkeeper told while pointing at my pinky finger and Jungkook followed his gaze. Jungkook stared at the ring for a while then looked at me.

"No. I didn't. I had this ring on my finger before I came here." I explained and he nodded.

"She is lying. Every thief do." Shopkeeper interrupted. "I saw her earlier too. She was wearing a robe. When she came last time too. She wore a robe to hide her identity." Shopkeeper said.

"What if the person in robe earlier was someone else." Jungkook said and Shopkeeper went silent. "And which thief is that stupid to come again to the same place from where he/she stole?" Jungkook added and no one spoke his against.

"But sir, it is my huge loss. That ring was of real pearl and silver. And pearls were especially imported from sea town." Shopkeeper said with a convincing tone. Jungkook looked at me when he heard my town's name being mentioned. I hope it makes sense now why I am having this ring isn't a big deal. One can find almost every person wearing pearls' ornaments in my town.

"I will give you the amount it costs. Now let her go. You don't have any solid proof against her." Jungkook said and looked in my direction, he made a gesture to leave in my direction. And with putting my robe back on my head I left.

Now I am going straight to the castle. I don't want to get in anymore senseless problems. I don't understand why can't I have a day without any drama here.
