For A Moment

Just a moment...
Let me show you what I see.
The world in which I live
And the air in which I breathe.
The ground I stand upon
And the water which I drink.
Let me show you all the things
Which you never would believe.

There are angels...
Who fly upon the wings of hate,
Their fate to sing along to lies,
And pry the strong from Regal Gates.

There are demons...
Who walk beneath the crimson skies,
Their lies a sin to free the lost,
And cost the winged kin their lives.

There are people...
Who dress in clothes that catch your gaze.
They praise the pasts of woe to edge
Your fledging hopes to passing days.

There are monsters...
Who strip the flesh from human bones.
They hope that future's best can lift
The gift that rests on youthful groans.

There are others...
Who view the way they live as right.
The fight to give the same to you,
Is cruel and laced with hints of spite.

There is myself...
Who lives without the pattern shown.
I know it's rather loud, the myth
With which we shroud the madder's home-

But just a moment...
Take a walk with me.
Let your mind run wild,
And let your thoughts roam free.
The way in which they bring you to
A place you've never seen
Is the way they'll show you things
You never thought you could believe.
