"I did it!" she yelled,
As she barged into the room.
A trophy in her hand,
A proud smile on her face.
They pulled her to the top,
Then pushed her back down.
She was said to be crazy
By all those who drove her there.
"I did it..." she whispered,
As she stared at her reflection.
An empty pill bottle in her hand,
A feeling of hopelessness etched in her heart.
(Somewhere between trophies and pills,
She lost herself in the desire for perfection.
Somewhere in between pride and hopelessness,
She lost herself in the desire to feel again.)
