Billy's POV:
It happened so quickly. Liam was far away from her. I was the closest. She tripped, she fell into the deep end. I stood there, awaiting her head to reach the surface.
Then it clicked.

"You should go too. Oh wait, you can't swim!" Josh mocked Amber, poking her side.
"She can't swim?" I asked inquisitively, walking to where they were standing.
She muttered something along the lines of, 'great. now the idiot knows I can't swim.' I took this into account, for some reason.

Normally I didn't care about girls. This fact was important, for another reason.

"What are you waiting for, you idiot?! Go get her!" Liam eyes widened,
"I'm getting Josh." She can't swim. That was enough to get me going. Her hands desperately tried to grasp the surface, but failed. Liam had ran inside to get help, leaving me alone. And I had to be her Knight and shining armour. Right now, I had to save her. I quickly peeled off my shirt, diving for her frail body. Saving her was the only thing running through my mind, as I began to move my arms, and began swimming.

Pushing myself to the other side of the large pool, I slightly squinted my eyes to try to get a glimpse of where she was.
She was the only thing on my mind. I knew where to start. I caught sight of her, her eyelids were fluttering close. No. No, No, no. Oh shit. Thrusting a bit more foward, I finally reached her practically lifeless corpse.I opened my eyes a bit. Picking her up, I appeared back to the surface, still holding her. Climbing out of the pool with her in hand, I quickly jogged over to the door. Damn this huge mansion. She could be losing more of her life line while I get there! Her face seemed so pale. So foreign.

Bursting through the door, I was greeted by Josh. Well not exactly greeted.
"She fell in the pool?" He hissed,
"How the did this happen?!"
"We should talk about this later." I muttered, sending a glance to his direction, and placing her body on the sofa she where she had once gladly threw me off of. Liam came through the door, running over.
"Is she okay?" He demanded.
"She fell in the god damn pool when she doesn't know how to swim. You think she's okay?" Josh stated icily, and ran over to look at her.
'This is all my fault, how could've I let this happen again' He had muttered, and then looked at me.
"You've taken CPR right?" He asked in a rushed manner.

That was never supposed to be mentioned again. My mom she..okay, like I said, for another time. Amber is still unconcious. I need to do something. Josh sighed, before telling me,
"I'll allow you to touch her this once. I'll call the doctor." He gave me one last look full of different emotions, before basically sprinting to get the phone.

I pressed both hands to her chest, and tried to do chest compression. Pushing down, and repeating this multiple times hadn't worked. There's only one thing left. And it could just save her. I pressed my mouth down on hers, transferring air into her lungs. This isn't kissing her. And I'm not going to go all sappy and shit on you, but I still felt something different. Unlike other girls. Placing my mouth down on hers in another effort to revive her, it failed again. I didn't take that shitty CPR for no reason. Okay, okay, calm down. Repeating that again. It didn't work. Now you're just pissed off, Unger. It takes at least five times. I tilted her head a bit up, pinching her nose, and pushed my mouth on hers. The weak cough escaped her throat when I pulled away. She's there. You did it. Fist pumping, I then remembered to get Josh.

"She's back!" I called out to Josh, when she coughed again. I pushed down on her chest, and she began to cough even more. I lifted her slightly up.
"Sweetie pie?"
Another cough. I picked her up quickly, rubbing her back. You did it. You saved her.
Cough, "Billy?" another cough.
"I'm here." I told her softly, when she collapsed in my arms. Josh appeared into the room, his eyes widening a bit.
"She's back?" He asked, in shock.
"Yeah." I nodded.
"Amb?" He asked cautiously. She shifted a bit, and I tightened my grip on her. I don't know why I did it. I just have a different attitude toward her.
I haven't had real feelings for a girl besides Katie.
"Can I see her?" Josh asked, as I moved her to his arms. She just seemed so fragile. So delicate. Like a porcelain vase on a glass table. Or maybe Dylan if you take his skateboard. Yeah, he's the wimp out of us.
"Shh, Amb. It's okay, alright?" Josh was now holding her head, and turned my way. I thought it was to yell at me or something for letting her fall, but it wasn't that.
"Thank you." He mouthed. The doorbell gonged, and the loud noise echoed through the whole house. Josh handed Amber to me, and I embraced her in my arms once more.
"Hey, Billy?" Her voice was hushed.
"We'll talk about this later, okay? Just rest." I whispered.
"No, Billy." She stated, her voice gaining a bit of strength.
"Did you...did you save me?" She asked, her eyes a bit glossy.
I just nodded, but then she did what I thought she'd never do. She hugged me. I was startled at first. Where's the girl who was always pissed off at me? Maybe she drowned, and this is the nicer Amber.
"Thanks, idiot." She managed a small smile, when I hugged her back.
Nevermind.
"Am I your Knight and shining armour now?" I smirked at her, when she just scoffed at me.
"No way." I chuckled at her response, just glad to have her back.
"Are you alright? Do you need anything?" Josh asked, coming in with the doctor.
"I just feel a bit...light headed." She mumbled, pressing a hand to her small head.
"It's a side effect," The doctor informed us when he walked in.
"I just need to do a quick check up, may you leave the room for a little bit?"
We nodded, and left the room.
