Amber's POV
"You're seriously going to cry over a guy again? Amb, I thought you were over that." Kelli scolded, rubbing my back.
"You don't understand..he meant alot to me. And I just ruined it." I choked out, burying my head in the sheets.
"Amber Hutcherson," Emma started once more,
"You are going to get your ass out of bed, and come with us to the mall."
"Yeah, get up and start being the fierce girl I know you are." Jennifer playfully winked at me, and picked up my arm, dragging me out out of bed.
I guess they're right. I'll stop moping around.
I'll try to explain to Billy later...I wiped the tears off my eyes, and trudged into the bathroom. It was the next morning. Billy had been ignoring me the whole of last night. As for Tyler, I wasn't in the mood to talk to him. I tried to talk to Billy. He just gave me the cold shoulder, and avoided my whole presence. He was just cold..distant. And I really wanted him back... I'll find a way to make it up to him. Somehow. I got dressed, and walked downstairs. I was supposed to meet Jennifer, Emma, and Kelli outside but Billy was sitting at the table.
"Billy." I murmured, slowly waking towards the table. He looked up, and the moment he saw me, his expression hardened,
"What do you want, Amber."
"I just wanted to explain." I told him, struggling not to flinch at his tone.
"I don't want it. I've seen enough." He hissed, tossing his dish in the sink.
"But-"
"I told you not to talk to me." He stated, turning around to walk away.
I blinked back tears, and opened the door.
"Ready to go?" Jennifer asked, linking arms with me. I nodded meekly, as they led me through the crowded area of downtown Manhattan."Josh is great, but I just feel like he has no balls to ask me anything." Jennifer told me, looking through some racks.
"You and me both." I agreed, playing Flappy Bird on my phone mindlessly.
"He hasn't even asked me on a date yet!" Jennifer exclaimed, turning from the rack.
"Don't worry Jen, I'll talk to him." I assured her, silently cursing when the stupid bird hit the damn pole.
"Thanks Amb, you're the best." Jennifer hugged me quickly, before going back to look at the racks.
The only thing that was popping on my mind was Billy. Billy, Billy, Billy. He wouldn't get out. I just have to face it. He doesn't like me anymore. But I'll try to apologize once more. For now, I guess I'll just leave him alone for now.
"I got the perfect dress for tonight." Emma squealed, running over to me and Jennifer.
"Dress for tonight?" I cocked an eyebrow, looking up from my phone. "Yeah, we're going out to the club tonight." Emma informed me, tugging the sparkly dress against her body,
"So what do you think?"
"It looks cool."
"Amazing!"
"Totally gorgeous."
The replies came from me, Jennifer, and Kelli."Now it's your turn, Amb." Jennifer turned to me with an evil smile.
"What, no." My eyes widened, and I backed away.
"Get her!" Emma yelled, before Jennifer and Kelli gripped my arm and dragged me with them.
"No! Don't make me!" I shouted, desperately trying to get away.
"Do you want to get Billy all over you?" Kelli smirked suggestively.
"No," I sighed. I didn't want to talk to him again, but I had to clear things up.
"Too bad." She shrugged, and shoved me in the changing room. It was a short red dress. It was kind of like the other dress, just more ruffly and sparkly.
There was no point arguing with 3 girly girls, so I just decided to do it.
Slipping on the dress, I stared at my reflection for a bit. I looked so...bright. Like a weasel in a tutu. Okay, maybe not. I actually liked it...once again. Dammit!
"Come out already!" Kelli yelled. Ugh. Impatient people. I put on my annoyed face, and stomped out.
"See? You look gorgeous." Emma grinned, smoothing out the bottom of the dress. I playfully rolled my eyes, and looked at her.
"Okay, now I'm going to change. And then we'll find a dress for you guys." I informed them firmly, before disappearing back into the changeroom.I walked out, and we decided to get some drinks. I was stirring my smoothie, looking around at the stores that we walked by. New York is certainly something.
"Do you want to get home now?" Jennifer asked, moving to the side. "Sure, I need to talk to Tyrel." Emma smiled at the thought of him. I'm glad someone's relationship is working out.
This is probably fate telling me that I shouldn't have a boyfriend. Yep...that's probably it.I stared at myself in the mirror. Good gosh. Why did I ever agree. This dress is damn short, why would I go to a club and wear...this! I quickly shook my head, and fixed my hair. My hair was in messy waves down my back, and I had a bit of eyeliner on. My eyelashes were winged up, my dress was slightly shaking at every small movement I made. Well, that decides it. I'm going to get raped. I gave myself a pep talk before I exited the room, and once again...ran into someone. I quickly apologized, before almost taking off and running down the hall. A hand gripped my arm, and pulled me back. I hoped it was Billy..but it was Tyler.
He had a good grip on me, so I wouldn't take off running.
"Amber, listen to me." Tyler demanded, as I tried to get free.
"No Tyler, just let go." I refused, squirming.
"Just hear me out. I'm sorry okay? I just got a bit carried away when you finally kissed me. I'm sorry for whatever problems I caused with you and Billy." He explained,
"I just don't want to lose you as a best friend."
"Look. I'm not ready to forgive you yet. Just...just give me some time." I said in a rushed fashion, before jogging downstairs. I felt the tears coming on again, just remembering the way Billy spoke to me. It was harsh. I just..felt broken."Amb?" Josh asked, walking into the room,
"You alright?"
"I'm good." My voice wavered, and I sat down.
"What happened?" He asked, his voice with concern.
"Billy didn't tell you?" I wondered, staring up at him. He shook his head, and raised an eyebrow,
"I swear, if he did anything, I will-"
"This wasn't his fault." I butted in, and I began to tell him everything that happened yesterday. I was expected him to start yelling at me, but he just brought me into a hug. I rested my head on his chest, as he soothingly rubbed my back.
"Listen Amb, I'm not a girl, so I don't exactly know what to say. Just look at you. You're one of the most strong girls I know. You don't need a guy to make you feel happy. Since when did Amber Hutcherson start letting boys dictate her happiness?" Josh finished, giving me a pat on the back.
"Thanks Josh. When did you turn into a girl?" I teased.
"I am not a girl." He scoffed. "And you should start to grow some balls and ask Jennifer to be your girlfriend already." I grinned. What? He needs to.
"I was thinking of it. But I wanted it to be in a special way."
"I'll help you with that. But right now, we should go." I reminded him.
"Oh, right. Before Liam throws a fit." He chuckled, getting up. Yup, that was a lot like Liam.I made eye contact with Billy once. But he would just refuse my gaze, and look right through me. I don't know how long he can keep this up. And he didn't even give me a damned chance to explain. You know what, it's his loss. I'll try one more time, and that's it. No more sad, weird Amber.
"Whoa, I guess they're right when they say they can't beat New York clubs." Taylor let out a low whistle.
"They don't say that." Dylan rolled his eyes.
"Well, I'm saying it." Taylor retorted, crossing his arms.
"Shut up, idiots. Let's walk in already." Tyrel shook his head, and walked in with Emma. Tyler had already gone in, and Jennifer went in with Josh. Hopefully he is going to ask her out already. I'm just here getting pissed off at his stupidity.
"Hey. Are you a newcomer?" A petite girl with brown hair asked me.
"Yup." I nodded quickly.
"Well! Welcome to club Eagles!" She exclaimed,
"I'm Rowland." She grinned. Oh, she was the perky type.
"I'm Amber." I introduced myself. "Amber! What a pretty name!" She remarked.
"Thanks." I managed a small smile. "Come on! Let's go to the bar. I'll introduce you to Cole." Rowland beamed. Liam would like this girl. Hmm...We approached the bar, and she made me sit on one of the stools. I gaze around the bar, and caught a glimpse of someone. What the actual hell. Is that Olivia?
"We'll have two Margaritas." She told Cole', snapping me out of my thoughts. "Coming up. Who's this cutie?" Cole winked at me. Oh joy. Another flirt. You know what, whatever. I'm here, might as well have some fun.
"I'm Amber." I smiled.
"Well Amber, I'll be happy to get you a drink. On the house." He smiled, before turning around.
"Aye Cole!" Rowland called,
"Where's Nash?" "Nash. Don't screw with me here. This better not be the same Nash.
"Nash?" I cocked my head to the side, "Who's Nash?" I asked.
"The other bartender. He's absolutely hot." Rowland gushed.
"Nash's here!" Cole informed Rowland.
I was just about to excuse my self, when I came in contact with someone I never wanted to see again.
"Amber." Nash whispered.
"Nash." I looked at him breathlessly. I gotta get out of here. Right now. Nash was staring at me in shock, and I think my expression resembled his. He...He's standing right in front of me."Rowland..I gotta go." I ran far away, straight into a washroom. But I came in contact with my worst nightmare.
Words couldn't describe this moment. It felt like my whole world just collapsed. Straight into the pits of hell.
What I saw, was...
Billy and Olivia kissing.
