" I'm telling you Ray I swear, that's the guy from the USJ attack, I couldn't really see his face but there's no way I could forget his voice!" Cassie sounded borderline hysterical as she paced back and forth in her dorm room, her friend sprawled out on her bed on top of her fluffy green blanket.
The blue haired girl frowned as she watched her friend, for once in her life not having a witty remark to make about the situation, it seemed pretty serious so joking about it wouldn't do Cassie any good.
Ray pressed a hand against her temples rubbing at her head as if to quell her oncoming headache. " If he's from the USJ attack he shouldn't have been out in public the pro's have a pretty decent description of what he looks like so he should be recognizable even without those weird disembodied hands all over him'' Ray pointed out trying to calm her friend down at least a little bit.
At this point the pinkette would end up wearing down the wood flooring of her room, plus the small bonsai tree in her room was growing larger the longer Cassie stressed which wasn't a good sign for anybody in the building. Ray wondered why Cassie even had it in the room because if her emotions were to grow pun intended out of hand then that damn tree might burst through the ceiling which was a win for property damage but not for the two friends nor their classmates and teachers who would have to clean up the mess.
" It would be pretty dumb to risk getting caught just to give a couple teen heroes in training a vaguely threatening thank you. Clearly they have someone on the inside so he could have just sent you a card." Ray retorted lazily jabbing a finger to Cassie's window where upon looking down stood a mailbox near the Heights Alliance entrance.
Cassie ran a hand through her long disheveled hair letting out a half hearted snort at Ray's comment nodding her head ever so slightly. " I saw him with Izuku for a few seconds before I lost track of them and ran off to find you." Cassie added her eyes widening a fraction. " I should ask him about what happened, he looked really scared!" Cassie exclaimed as if she had just come up with the best plan ever, at least now the pinkette had stopped her endless pacing back and forth, it was probably actually a half decent leg workout.
Ray agreed, sitting up on Cassie's bed folding her legs underneath her to sit back on her knees, the blue haired dragon girl had some rather odd sitting positions but Cassie was used to it. Ray already knew about the hero killer incident so she knew what Shigaraki was thanking her friend for which was honestly unsettling.
Cassie had to get permission from Police chief Kenji Tsuragamae, who agreed upon the mention of her best friend's name. He knew Ray could be trusted with the information of what happened that night, she wasn't the type of person to incriminate her friends.
Cassie waved goodbye to her friend before racing out the door and off to Izuku's room where she was almost positive he would be at this hour of the day. She raised a tanned hand to knock on his door that was promptly swung open to reveal a head of unruly green hair.
" Oh! F-Fox san what are you doing here?'' the boy asked, sounding slightly nervous and Cassie raised an eyebrow at him in confusion. " Um, I live here along with everyone else, hey listen can we talk? I have a few things i wanna run past you?'' Cassie asked, ringing her hands in front of her pleadingly while bowing her head ever so slightly.
She watched closely as her classmates' feet shuffled back and forth as he contemplated, glancing back into his room as if to assess its tidiness before stepping back to let the pinkette come inside.
Cassie glanced at the awkward boy's face noting a slight flush in his cheeks but she paid it no mind. She looked around his room noting that it was relatively tidy, no clothing strewn about the floor or pages of homework scattered on his desk. Just the occasional stack of books and a whole bunch of Allmight and other pro hero merchandise.
Cassie with the permission of the green haired boy sat at his desk chair swiveling it so she could face him while they talked. " I saw you at the mall the other day what did Shigaraki say to you Izuku?'' she asked tilting her head to emphasize the importance of her question.
Izuku sweat dropped rubbing the back of his neck worriedly. " He was thanking us for keeping the media away from him-" The boy paused, glancing down at his feet. " He also asked me where he could find you, that's why I wanted you to run away I-I wasn't sure what he was going to do."
Cassie sighed resting her chin on her palm nodding her head sympathetically. " Thank you for warning me. He approached me as well, I think he was going to tell me something important but Ray scared him off." Cassie frowned in distaste. The mood in the room seemed to grow sour and Cassie decided it was time to change the subject to something more upbeat and positive.
" Hey Izuku isn't that the limited edition allmight mug? If I recall, it was only sold in a few shops in the Hosu district several years back." Cassie's eyes landed on a ceramic mug that was molded to look like a stylized Allmight head. Her friend nodded his cheeks flushing bright red, probably thinking she was about to call him a nerd or something.
Cassie's eyes brightened in delight, a wide grin forming on her face as she gave the boy a thumbs up. " Don't worry I've got one as well, it took me a month to find one but it was so worth it." Her comment seemed to put her classmate at ease as she watched his shoulders relax, his posture seemingly less tense.
Izuku nodded his head happily, holding up a finger to signal his curious friend to wait a second. After a bit of searching he popped up next to the pinkette holding an autograph from Cassie's favorite hero.
" Amun- Ra didn't really do a lot of meet and greets but when I was super young my mom ran into him when he was patrolling, he let us take a picture and gave me his autograph, it was so cool!" Izuku gushed happily and Cassie clapped her hands in equal excitement.
" He's one of my favorite heroes, he always looked so cool when he turned the sunlight into weapons of light, I was crushed when he suddenly disappeared around my 6th birthday." Cassie chuckled with a sigh. " I wonder what he's doing now."
The next hour consisted of Cassie and Izuku looking through his many hero info journals bonding over their shared knowledge of heroes. Cassie felt happy that the went to Izuku to discuss what happened at the mall. She was now confident that Izuku was one of her smartest friends.
