Those Pesky Scammers

Usually, if you've already self-published a story, Traditional publishers won't republish it. They often take on a new book that hasn't been self-published. Many scammers will publish self-published books because they can profit from your story, so I would watch out for that.

You should always read the contract and sit on it before taking any deal. If they won't accept the agreement after sitting on it and taking the time to read the contract, then that's usually a red flag. Precisely, Web Novel does that.

I would steer clear of websites that offer copied and pasted contract deals to random writers or who give you the "Oh, I read your book, I loved it, and would like to publish it" BS. That's a red flag too.

Lastly, You should never have to pay anything out of pocket when signing a book contract. Make sure you watch the video brought to you by Writersconn X and IamRodneyVSmith. Thank you.
