8. meeting their family

Sadie

- it was on set, and also Sadie's birthday. By now you've been a couple for 3 months

- you surprised Sadie after a take, with a cake and a pair of her friends holding balloons

- apparently her parents had the same idea since they arrived with Sadie's siblings minutes after you

- you already knew Jacey and Mitchell, but no her parents nor her other two brothers which caught you off of guard when you saw them coming to set

- you were dying from inside, really really but really NERVOUS

- but at the end it turned out well. Lori thought you were polite and sweet, while Casey found you funny and someone easy to get along with

- Spencer and Caleb liked you instantly, yet they weren't sure about your relationship. It was their sister first romance with a woman, and first romance in general, they were only being protective brothers

- they finally got to see how much you adored Sadie, treating her like a queen at any chance you had

- guess who was invited over a family dinner next friday? ;)

Max

- you already know Susan, a sweet woman

- BUT even when you already were kinda friends, you had to meet her again this time as her daughter's girlfriend

- this whole thing was new for Susan, a mother with a gay daughter living in a homophobic society, and that's why she didn't treat her or you differently, knowing you had to cope up with those hateful comments

- at the beginning was a bit awkward. She'd make awkward comments that embarrassed Max

- "... Good thing is that you can't get pregnant"
   "MOM!"

- later Susan explained you her fear of getting you two hurt, she didn't want you to get hurt once you're out in the world

- at the end things turned out more than well knowing you had one more protective mother on your side

- Susan assured you that her home is a safe place for you 🌈

Ziggy

- You hated Ziggy's mom

- Ziggy's mom didn't like you either

Tess

- Nick already knew you and he high-key got excited to know you were Tess' girlfriend

- he even organized a BBQ only for their relatives and closest friends to meet you. Only those who were allies were invited ofc

- "I thought you said you were only friends" Said Elly when Tess took you to her house

- Elly and David were new in this area of Tess' life, they were nice but a bit clumsy trying with too much effort not to make any controversial comment

- Emily on the other hands was the relief for you. As you and Tess were helping Elly with the lunch, Emily ran to you with a drawing, she had drew you and Tess holding hands and a big rainbow behind you

- showing your mature side, you told taught them how to behave in front of a gay person. It wasn't that hard, since at the end we are all equals

- Elly and David saw how much you cared about Tess and how much in love you were with each other, and that's when they understood they had nothing to approve, just letting you be

Ellie

- you already know Charlie, so you were relieved that you had him on your side

- her mom tho...

- "why would you date her? she'll ruin your life" anyone would think she was talking to Ellie, but she was actually talking to you

- of course that led into a mother-daughter fight

- "how do you expect this to be successful?! you're so selfish you only love yourself!"
   "Oh my God! No wonder why dad left us, YOU'RE A NIGHTMARE!"

- Ellie couldn't stand her so she took your hand and ran off there

- one day you bumped into Mary while shopping and told her that surprisingly Ellie is not the girl they used to know

- after hearing all the nice and cute things Ellie has done for you and to gain your affection and trust, Mary thought that you are a good influence for her

- hence, she supported your relationship
