Lenora never met her real parents and the family that adopted her died in a terrible accident, leaving her to grow up with the sweet old couple who lived next door, who were more than happy to have the little 6 years girl to raise.
Despite her new...

Shizuoka elementary school, June 12th
Lenora was tugging at her bag's straps, nervously staring at the door in front of her. This was her first day in the new school and she was afraid to mess up and end the next years alone.
"You don't have to be scared, Lenora," the nice teacher said, smiling down at her, "you're gonna be fine. You're a strong girl!"
The little girl tried her best to smile at Nakamura-sensei, nodding her head and releasing the straps. She wiped her sweaty hands on the white blouse, taking a deep breath when the woman knocked at the classroom door.
"Come in!", a male voice came from inside, allowing professor Fuyuko Nakamura and the little newbie to push the door and enter the room.
The math teacher smiled at his colleague, "Oh, Nakamura-san! You bring us our new froggie?"
Lenora peeked at the man from behind Nakamura san's legs. He was waving his hand at her and she slowly returned the gesture, smiling at the nickname.
I like frogs, she thought, relaxing her shoulders just a bit.
Nakamura nodded, placing her hand on Lenora's head, "Here she is! C'mon dear, introduce yourself to your new classmates!"
The girl took a deep breath, finally facing the kids in front of her. She immediately felt intimidated: she was the only non-Japanese kid and despite her living her whole little life in Japan her tongue seemed to do a strange twist, making it hard to speak.
She lifted her eyes meeting Nakamura-san kind features and that was enough to infuse courage in her.
"I'm Lenora, I like violets, frogs, and books and I really don't like math, sorry", the last word was whispered towards Mori-san who chuckled along with some of her classmates.
"You're not the first one that says this!"
Nakamura-san patted her head, "And you won't be the last!"
A girl with long braids raised her hand, "Professor, can I ask something of Lenora-chan?"
Mori nodded, "Of course, if our Lenora is okay with that."
The little girl nodded, taking some steps to the right to take a better look at the girl.
"Where are you from? Your eyes are so pretty!"
Lenora grinned, showing some missing teeth, "Thank you! Actually, I'm from around the block, but my parents were surely foreigners! Also, you have the most beautiful hair I've ever seen!"
Misa was a smart girl, and she knew her family was a hot topic; she saw the teachers holding their breaths and Lenora's quick change of subject made it clear.
"Thank you Len-chan! Can I call you that?"
Lenora made some little happy jumps, smiling, "Yes, amazing hair girl!"
"It's Misa!"
"Misa", Lenora repeated smiling.
Behind her shoulders, Nakamura-san and Mori-san exchanged an eloquent look, happy that Lenora seemed fine.
"She can do it, Fuyuko", he whispered.
"I know," the woman clapped her hands and talked with a normal tone of voice, "alright, I must go now. Take care of your new classmate and don't stress her too much! See you tomorrow!"
Lenora turned her head to the teacher, giving her a solid nod. Nakamura-san smiled one more time before stepping out of the room and closing the door behind her. Lenora kept her eyes on the door for some seconds before turning to Mori-san.
"Alright Lenora, you can sit beside Izuku right there. Can you raise your hand, Midoriya?"
A small arm raised from behind a blonde boy who looked somewhat annoyed by the whole 'new student' thing.
Lenora walked toward her new seatmate, feeling slightly better now that she wasn't in front of the whole class anymore.
Midoriya was about to puck. He wasn't prepared to be the new girl seatmate and her big lilac eyes were scaring him to the bones: they looked dull at first and then full of life after breaking the ice. They were intimidating, to say the least.
"Hi, Izuku!", she chimed, sitting on the chair, leaving her bag on the seatback, "I'm Lenora but Len is fine!"
The boy nodded, scratching his neck, "Hi, Lenora", he stuttered.
"Just Len."
"Len."
"Great! It's nice to be seated next to someone like you!", she happily exclaimed.
Midoriya was looking everywhere in the room to avoid her eyes, "But you don't even know me..."
Len pecked his shoulder, gaining his attention, "You just seem kind. And cool!"
Midoriya was distracted by Mori-san who was starting the lesson, but the girl's words echoed inside his head. No one ever called him 'cool'!
Bakugou snickered hearing the new girl's words and a cold breeze of shame hit Midoriya right in the guts.
He tried to hide the blush that was about to form on his cheeks, opening his notebook and taking out his favorite pen, trying to ignore Kacchan. He looked at Lenora out of the corner of his eyes, just to notice her being busy searching for something inside her bag. He felt relieved that she didn't hear the laugh.
"You look...cool too. And kind", he whispered, slightly smiling.
Lenora blinked a few times, placing her math book on the desk and stretching her hand toward Izuku, "See? I just knew it would be nice to meet you, Izuku!"
Izuku slowly turned his head to the girl, meeting her eyes for an instant. He shook her hand, looking away.
