"Len! What are you doing here with this face? When was the last time you properly slept?!", Nemuri had opened her dorm room thinking one of her colleagues needed her just to find Lenora standing there, a white box in her hands and the most purple eye-bags she had ever seen. Neither Aizawa could compete.

"Unimportant questions!", she pushed the woman inside, kicking off her shoes, "Yesterday was your birthday and I totally missed it! I'm so sorry!"

Closing the door, Nemuri turned to her with her hands on her hips, "Len, I don't care you forgot. I care more about your well-being! You're overworked and you don't get enough sleep! Did you eat?"

Lenora cracked her neck, looking away from her, "Hey, I forgot to eat just once, alright? And Kat and Izuku had scolded me so badly that I would never do it again."

"They did the right thing!", she took the cake and invited Len to take a seat in the kitchen area, "What if we sit down and talk for a while, mh? Like old times."

Like old times, Len missed the sound of those words. They implied at days her only problem was what poetry she would've read that night or what ice cream was the best option for a sleepover with Izuku, even if they ended up buying always the same flavors. Memories of summer nights spent at the beach with Katsuki's family, playing with the ball until the sand went cold and their teeth clattered, amusement park trips with Izuku and vomiting out cotton candy, Mariko baking them a different cake in the mornings, Len and Izuku celebrating their birthdays together at the park nearest the elementary school, playing hide and seek so well that all the kids got bored except Katsuki and Izuku, who let the task to find Len as last, knowing she would've found the highest place she could and just plopped there, waiting for them. They always said she didn't understand how she was supposed to play the game.

"You should run to the base and tapped it to save yourself, Len-chan!"

"That's how you win, dumb Len! Don't you want to win?"

"No," was her usual reply, "I want you to find me! It's funnier for me!"

It was funny 'cause they were there with her, they would've silently agreed they would go looking for Len once everyone was tired, they collaborated to find her and Len watched them form the roofs or the top of the trees with a glint in her eyes, happy they were working together. That was her mission: to make Izuku and Katsuki's friendship stronger. She wanted them to bond so deeply that they couldn't leave the other's side anymore. Maybe she didn't understand why back there and she probably was still confused now that she was grown up, but her heart spoke loud about those two kids. They were more special than people could comprehend.

"This cake smells delicious! Can I cut a slice?"

Len didn't even realize she was sitting on a fuzzy chair and Nemuri was standing in front of the counter with a big knife in her right hand, eyes close and nose twitching while sniffing the cake.
