I was met by a short tanned woman with dark singer curls pulled into a low ponytail. She smiled at me and greeted me. "I'm Lisa, one of Jennie's friends," I smiled and held out a hand

"I'm Cristina, Jennie's mom. It's lovely that you came to visit her. She told me you were coming, come in," she shook my hand and let me in, closing the door behind me. The house was small but it was cute and cozy. It had that really addictive smell that Jennie smells of, except her house was more intense. The walls were covered in paintings that were slightly abstract but they were really cool and eye-catching with all of the different colours and choices of colour.

Jennie's mom took me to the kitchen and asked me if I had eaten so I told her I hadn't and she heated up some tomato soup for me. She told me that Jennie had just fallen asleep so she said I could watch a movie or something. But I said that I could just talk to her mom instead. She smiled and asked me how me and Jennie know each other. I told her about that time that I ate with Jennie for the first time after Sana became the cheerleader captain.

"Ah yes, I remember, she was heartbroken that day. But she told me that you were so kind to her."

"Really? I'm glad that she appreciated it," I smirked to myself. thought.

"Are you girlfriends?" Her mom asked after some

"What?" I blurted out, and furiously blushed at the question.

"'I'm sorry it I offended you."

"No no l'm not offended. It just took me by surprise. But no, were not"

"would you like to be?"

"Um," I looked at my hands. wait why am I even thinking about this? "No I don't think so."

"You don't think so? Are you heterosexual?" She asked cautiously.

"Um, I'm sorry but is this an interview?"

"No, you're right. I didn't mean to intrude in your privacy like that."

"It's okay," I lied. Because now, my mind was racing. And that question kept whirling around my brain, confusing me so much more now. I sighed and looked into my empty bowl. An awkward silence eloped around us and Jennies mom quickly managed to get rid of me by telling to go see if Jennie was awake. I said I needed the bathroom anyway.

She told me which room was hers so I went upstairs and headed for the bathroom first. It was a bit messy out I looked nice in general, despite being small. I emptied my bladder and washed my hands then left. I stood in the short hallway on which there were three doors and a set of stairs leading down. One of the doors was the bathroom so l assumed that the other rooms were her parents' and hers.

I knocked on her door softly and quietly opened the door. Her room was small but it was so aesthetic. Like. tumblr kind of aesthetic. Her colour scheme was baby blue, mint green and white. I looked around and spotted Jennie who was in her bed. Her duvet was covering most of her leg which was stretched out and her other leg was hugging the duvet with one of her arms, the other one was under her pillow.

She was wearing light grey shorts, a mint green t-shirt and white ankle socks. She has a nice butt. God dammit Lisa you're supposed to be as hetero as possible. I took off my white adidas trainers and looked at myself in the mirror leaned against the wall on the end of her bed. I was wearing navy skinny jeans, a red tank top with a cropped denim camo jacket with black ankle socks. I chuckled by accident when I thought about our socks. Black and white. Yin and yang. She shuffled around in her bed and ended up on her back with her legs spread out. Damn, what I wouldn't give to be in between there.

What the actual flip Lisa?!

I looked away instantly and took of my jacket. It was a bit stuffy. I hung it on the chair by her desk and looked at her again but tried my best to focus on her face. I carefully covered her with the duvet and then I lied on top of the duvet next to her. I got my phone and surfed through instagram for some time.

Eventually she woke up and was startled to see me in her bed but then she was very confused. "What are you doing in my house?" She said, her voice sounding quite crumbly and croaky. So freaking sexy. "You let me come," I explained.

"Oh yeah. I'm sorry you have to see me like this," she rubbed her eyes adorably, holding herself up on her elbow.

*It's fine, I grinned nervously, "I'm sorry," I quickly stumbled out of her bed and sat by her desk. She giggica. "you're so cute," and she got out of her bed too. "What's actually wrong with you?"

"I have a murderous headache. But I'm a bit better now. I've been napping the whole day," she smiled.

"You should let me nap with you next time," I laughed.

Lisa what are you saying? "Why?" She laughed too.

"I love naps," I grinned, rubbing my hands together nervously. They'll be rubbing you soon. Lisa? Control yourself! Okay this whole 'straight' thing isn't going how it should. You're acting too gay that's it's not even normal. And your'e acting so gay people would think you are gay. But you're not. Right?

"Do you want to go for a walk?" Jennie asked me as she grabbed some clothes out of her baby blue closet.

"Aren't you ill?"

"A walk would do me some good instead of being cooped up in here all day."

"Okay," | smiled and she went to her bathroom to get changed. She came back wearing white jeans, a grey tank top and a light blue hoodie. She put her pyjamas on her bed and turned to me, "you ready?" I nodded and stood up to put on my trainers and my jacket. Then we went downstairs where Jennie put on her white converses. Her mom asked us where we were going and we told her we were going on a walk. She gave Jennie some money and let us go.

We started walking to the street with small shops, boutiques and cafes. The roads were still quite busy even though it was getting quite dark. 'Do you wanna get ice cream?" Jennie looked at me pleadingly.

"But you're ill" I chuckled looking at her glowing eyes.

"How can you say no to ice cream?" She squealed with an slight pout forming on her lips, making her look even more adorable.

"Fine," I gave in, "But if you get more ill, it's your fault."

"Okay okay," she looked away from me and at her fingers, rice cream is worth it."

"Yeah," I sighed, Looking in front of me. We bought ice cream and went to Target. We went to the section with costumes for little kids. "How sexy do you think I'd look in a Spiderman costume7" Jennie grabbed a pack and held it against her laughing as she posed like a model.

"Very! What about me in an Elsa costume?" I grabbed another pack and did what she did. She Laughed, "you as a princess? Now that's an original sight!"

"Hey hey, Jennie I'd be a beautiful princess and you know it!" I posed in an exaggerated sexy way.

"Yeah yeah! Whatever let's you sleep at night," she giggled and picked up a Hulk costume, "How would I look in green?"

"Fierce!" I said in stereotypical gay stylists' voice, "honey you are slaying!" I barely finished what I was saying since we were so caught up in laughter. A few minutes later, a worker told us not to be so loud and then kicked us out for being in there with food. I told him that it wasn't food, it was heaven but he just rolled his eyes at me and threatened to get the manager, so I said that I knew all Kevins- I looked at his name tag-were basic. He glared at me and me and Jennie just quickly ran out.

We spent most of our evening getting kicked out from Starbucks, a fireworks store and some grocery store. It was fun and Jennie bought two lettuces, one for me and one for her, to symbolise our new friendship, "if your lettuce starts withering, it means I'm in trouble. If mine starts withering, that means you are in trouble," she giggled and gave me a tight hug.

we walked along the busy road slowly swinging our feet forward with every step. "You made my day so much more eventful today, Jennie looked at me and then Lead me to a recreation park with a large fountain in the centre. In the summer, this park -or fountain to be honest- practically becomes Madison's greatest tourist attraction. We sat on the edge of the fountain looking at how empty and gold it looked in an Autumn evening. I held my lettuce in front of me and said as-a-matter-of-factly, "my lettuce looks like you, you know?"

"Hey!' Jennie looked at me shocked

'I'm kidding," I giggled, looking at her as she looked at her lettuce.
