What is love?
Love is a broken promise
Over and over we tell ourselves differently
Voices in your head telling you that love is real
Even when you dont realize that it wasn't love.
Every waking hour I realized this truth
Very many times I have thought something was love
Others knew it wasn't but I didn't listen
Looking at me like there was nothing wrong
So please tell me.
What is love truly?
Is love something that supposed to hurt so badly
Or is it something that leaves you crying in your room
Holding onto a pillow like it's your only friend.
Or is love supposed to be something that feels like a chore.
I don't know what love is.
I have been blinded and ripped apart.
So I can't tell the differences between love and a bottomless promise.
Can you help me find out the true meaning of love?
