This Time We'll Never End

Conrad's POV Part 1

"But... you abhor the idea before..."

"I still do. But... if I won't do this, hindi ko na alam kung papano mahahanap si Amorah. It's been two days, Andrei. Two f*cking days! What if she's out there waiting for my help? What if... D*mn it! I can't just stand here, waiting for the kidnapper to contact us and give their conditions! I need to rescue her! I need to do something!" I almost shouted.

The sides of my eyes heated, hindi ko lang alam kung dahil ba iyon sa galit o sa takot na baka ano na ang nangyayari kay Amorah sa mga oras na ito. Panay ang taas-baba ng dibdib ko kaya pinakalma ko muna ang sarili bago pabagsak na umupong muli. Nagtiim-bagang ako habang sinasabunutan ang sarili, mariing nakapikit. I could feel my nerves and veins popping out in frustration. Halos magwala na naman ako, but I know it won't help at all.

Dalawang araw na mula nang ma-kidnap si Amorah pero ni katiting na balita, wala akong nakakalap. Wala ring tumatawag para sa ransom o kung ano.

Every second she's not with me is making me freaking anxious. I couldn't relax nor sleep a bit! And I don't plan to, not until she's with me again. My mind is haywired and it's getting the best of me.

What if she's in danger? What if those bastards do horrible things to her? Or worse... Ughh... Mababaliw na 'ko pag hindi ko pa siya natunton. I need to save her, ASAP!

"So, that company was yours all along? Then, why do you hate it so much?" si Zeke sa nagugulumihanang tono.

I heard Andrei's heavy sigh, he's troubled, too. His team couldn't pinpoint Amorah's traces as well, like this was planned long ago.

Nang 'di ko siya nilingon ay nagpatuloy ito. "Nga pala, tapos na'ko sa pinagagawa mo. Pinahukay ko lahat ng baho ng mga media personnels at bloggers na iyon, like how you want it, kaya sigurado akong mabubulok sila sa kulungan! Those bastards..." Zeke said with ire. I could even see him mockingly smirking in my head.

Good! That's what they get from hurting my babe!

But... the challenging part of this chaos are not putting those trashes in their places. It's capturing their masterminds... Samantha Montero and Wendy Versalez!

Arthur confessed a day ago, and risked his status in their family, and gathered the important evidences for the case to flourish but knowing those scheming women, their connections and wealth, baka makalusot pa rin sila.

So, for this war to end, I needed to swallow every ounce of my pride and ask my father for help.

"You don't need to ask my permission. The company was yours the moment you were born," Mr. Versalez said... my father.

Tinitigan ko siya habang sinisimsim ang kapeng hinanda sa kanya ni Ken bago ito umalis. Nakangiti siya pero halatang may bumabagabag sa isipan. Nang ibaba niya ang tasa ay nginitian niya ako.

He sighed, then looked into my eyes, like I'm a puzzle or something. "I really wondered saan ka nagmana, anak. You're... Serious, so passionate and... Alam na alam ang gusto sa buhay... Very far from what I am!" he laughed, but his eyes showed the opposite. He wiped the tears formed beside his eyes then looked at me again. "Kaya siguro hindi binigay sa akin ang kumpanya. I was your opposite. Wala akong ibang alam gawin sa buhay kundi magpakaligaya sa mga babae ko... What do I know about running a company, anyway? I was just a spoiled teenager nang mawala ang mga magulang ko. It was Wendy's father who made the company whatever it is when you came... Kaya siguro mahirap para sa kanilang bitiwan iyon."

The smile on his lips slowly faded. He sighed again. The sadness and some expressions I couldn't name formed on his face.

"Pasensya na, anak. Alam kong wala akong nagawang tama para sa'yo... At siguro, sa buong buhay ko... But this is how I am. I was never able to be your father because I don't know how to. Pinagsisihan ko na ang mga nagawa pero hindi na niyon maitatama pa ang mga mali ko..." he cleared his throat and I noticed his struggle in swallowing. Then, slowly, he let his swelling eyes fall on his cup.
