imagine: after a rough day, felix spends an evening cooking with you.

y/n's pov

today was a long day. it even felt like your last day. how could one day bring you so much stress? and how can just one man change that into serenity with just a few words?

you return home from work, fiddling with your bag to find your keys. even that was stressing you out. you hear the door lock click, and the door opens where you see a smiling felix standing in the doorway.

you smile back painfully, trying not to show how stressed you were. honestly, after days like these, all you need is to come home to felix and your mood is uplifted within seconds.

"do you want to cook with me?"

he opens his arms wide to you, tightening his hold around your waist as he takes in the scent of your hair. he always loved the smell of your hair, or just your skin in general. felix always complimented your scent, even when you were sweating after a workout.

he took your bag from your arm, carrying it inside as he dragged you in by hand. the house was cleaner than you'd left it this morning, the washing had been done. and, by the looks of it, felix had already started cooking.

you sighed, giving him a smile but dropping your shoulders. "i was hoping we could eat out tonight," you threw yourself onto the sofa, "i'm exhausted. today's been hard."

he flashed you a quick smile and kissed your forehead, "i thought you'd be," he drapes a soft cream coloured blanket over you, leaving you with a second kiss to your cheek. "let me cook for you."

one thing about felix you adored was how understanding he was. he knew when you were exhausted, and when you just needed time to relax. of course, you never let him do all the cooking or housework, but when you felt like passing out he always did everything without questioning.

the smell of garlic and chicken brushed past your nose, and you immediately shot up. you couldn't identify many of the scents, but it was lush. felix was one to add plenty of spices to his meals. at first, you always questioned it, and even attempted to reject it, but it took just one bite to fill your mouth with all different kinds of flavours. it tasted like everything you can ever imagine.

as you folded the blanket over the sofa, you swept toward the kitchen, leaning in to take in the many scents.

"does it smell good?" felix chuckled, creeping up behind you and holding you tightly.

"what're you cooking?" you smile, inhaling the smell.

he pulls away from you, taking a spoon and reaching it into the pot, lifting up a spoonful of some type of... sauce? you didn't exactly know what it was, but you trusted felix. you knew it would be good.

and good it was.

your mouth was bursting with flavour, and you practically moaned at the taste. it was heavenly. but you still couldn't quite tell what he was cooking.

"any guesses?" he raises his brow, waiting for a quick answer.

you taste the sauce again, taking in every possible flavour, trying to distinguish at least one ingredient. you feel felix is growing impatient with how long it's taking you - he's too excited to tell you!

you shrug with a smile. he clearly doesn't want you to guess, he wants you to be impressed by how special it is. "no clue."

it tasted sweet, but spicy...

"it's chogochujang!"

how would you even guess that?

you knew the taste of gochujang paste, and it was almost the same as that... you were confused about how you couldn't guess.

either way, you were impressed. you raised a brow and clapped your hands at felix, who was so happy. he was jumping around like a happy lamb, giving you a quick peck on your cheek. "does it taste good?"

you put one thumbs up... then two, with a wide smile.

his smile grew even wider.

pleasing felix wasn't something that was difficult. tell him he did a good job with anything and he'd be in a good mood all day.

you decided that, instead of leaving felix to cook alone, you'd join him.

you lifted yourself onto the counter, stirring the pan of sauce as felix gathered the rest of the food. it looked like you were going to eat bibimbap tonight! the way felix made it was your favourite, you couldn't eat anyone else's. it was perfect.

for the rest of the night, you cooked, you ate, and you enjoyed each other's company.

going to work wasn't so bad anymore. you realised no matter how stressful it was, or how hard you'd work, you would always come home to a perfect night. and that was all you needed for the rest of your life.
