I sometimes write my secret poems

The ones I keep to myself

The ones that are locked away in the cells

Of my body

That I hate the most.

I wonder if people will care

If i let the poems out

Let the cells grow hair

Lop a few growths off.

I wonder if people will judge me

If i spoke the truth

Let the tone get lower

Right under each tooth

Let my body get sharper

Let my secrets be lit

Not by candles in the night

But the way I see fit.

If I let my secret poems soar from my lips

Let the sway run away from my hips

Will you part from me too?

My personality inferior to my looks

I am not an open book

I am a secret kept from you.

Sometimes I write my secret poems

The ones I keep to myself

But maybe the pain would go away

If I shared them with somebody else.
