When the usurpers were reduced, it didn't reduce their desire for revenge, nor their desire to make the world into either their images.
But the years had now passed and they were aware that they will not live long enough to fulfil either of their goals.
But they had another plan.
The light usurper got to the spirits of the light creatures.
The dark usurper got to the spirits of the dark creatures.
After getting to those spirits...
...the usurpers used the power of the creatures' spirits to abandoned their world to start ones of their own.
The light usurper created a realm of light.
The dark usurper created a realm of darkness.
Time would stand still in those said realms meaning that those who would live inside those realms wouldn't be able to age.
Over the years, they would gain tremendous power and be more powerful than they were before, especially to the point where they would control the guardians and create an army of copies of the guardians.
It seems that the lord of light and the embodiment of chaos and darkness won't be returning anytime soon, but there's no guarantee.
