Almirah tied her Kroger apron above her neck before she clocked in for her job. "Almirah!" Her name was called by one of her managers.
She turned around seeing her male manager approaching her. "We took you off the clock today." He advised her seeing her put the apron on.
"Oh..." She dryly responded untying her apron planning to leave. Her manager watched her mood change drastically.
"You okay Almirah?" He asked walking beside her to the break room. She nodded flipping the hood over her head.
"I still have a shift tomorrow right?" She looked him in the eyes. Her eyes were low still red from her highness. He nodded, "Yes same time as today."
"Okay." She replied typing in the code to the breakroom door. The first thing that came to her mind was to call Jaseh but that changed after she decided just to walk the city.
