Ch 28

Outside in the open ground. It is getting darker

All the pack members came and circled to witness the most awaited war. Some soldiers came running to Harshad's side

H: No one will come in between! It be between Alpha Manik and me

Harshad marched and threw some punches on Manik's arms. After a few more minutes of tussle Manik pulled Harshad over his head (bahubali style) and threw him on the ground. Harshad was all bloody and hardly breathing

Nandini came running to Manik and hugged him tight: Manik lets go from here now

Before she could say any further. A werewolf jumped on Manik from the side. Harshad turned into his werewolf self and started attacking Manik's human body. Manik tried to get off his hold but his claws were digging deep in Manik's arms and neck. Manik's arms and neck started bleeding .... Manik took all his force and pushed John (Harshad's werewolf) away. It took him a moment to turn into his werewolf self.

Nandini saw Manik turning into Eric. The dark black werewolf, the sexiest of all standing in front  of her in full glory. Eric was growling looking at John. Eric was almost double the size of John. They both jumped over each other and started scratching each other

Pack members - We can't let our Alpha loose this battle. We can't interrupt the fight nor are we any powerful to stand against Alpha Manik

Pack member 2: But we can't just stand here looking at our Alpha losing the battle

Pack member 3: Let's burn down the jungle. We will save our Alpha and let Alpha Manik burn in the jungle. He is in his werewolf form; burning him will be the easiest

Nandini heard all these and her anger knew no limit. She wanted to go and kill each and every pack member but she can't behave like this. She is Luna. They do not interrupt the war till Alpha himself stops but that doesn't mean she will let anyone else hurt her Alpha!

Manik got a hold of his neck and bit him there. Never for a second he left his skin. Harshad started wiggling in pain but Manik's hold was rock solid on Harshad's neck. When he felt Harshad was no longer breathing he left his lifeless body and moved ahead!

Manik turned into his human form and checked on Harshad again. He was indeed not breathing.

M: DEAD! HE IS DEAD!

Nandini ran to him and cares his injured arms

"Haha haha haha"

Manik and Nandini heard the evil laugh and turned to see Harshad laughing like a maniac. He is back to his human self and only lower level is covered

"Kya socha tha it is that easy to kill me! No one can kill me! NO ONE"

Sudden;y Nandini remember something

"Mujhe koi maar hi nahi sakta kyuki meri jaan meri hi nahi"

N whispers: Manik we can't kill him!

Manik looked at her confused: Nandini.....

"Sahi kaha Nandini ne. I am immortal! No one can kill me. How will you defeat me Manik"

Nandini held Manik's hands tight and pulled him with him and ran towards the juggle. It's getting darker so hiding in the jungle will give them some time to think of a plan

H: Go and follow them! I want Nandini alive and Manik dead. Let's see how far they can hide and burn the whole jungle. Fire can't touch Nandini and Manik, he can't escape fire. Harshad goes inside his chamber

M: Nandini, why are we running? We are not cowards. We can face him!

N: Manik, we need some time to think about how to kill Harshad. No one is immortal; if you were born in this world then your death is the ultimate truth! We were born to die; no one can skip from this vicious cycle of life. One can delay the process but can never skip the process

M: So, you are saying there is a way out if this

N: There should be some loophole. We just need to find that.

M: Nandini aag! They have burn the whole jungle we need to run fast

N: We can't compete against the speed of the fire

Nandini stops running and with a determined face opens her arms and concentrates all her energy thinking about "water" Nandini's whole body starts to shake and with a big blow she screams loud....

N: aahh..............

With her scream the lightning strikes in the sky and the clouds get darker. In no time it starts pouring hard. Nandini calms down a little

N: This is fine for now but we need to run for now

Manik holds Nandini's hands and starts running again

Harshad's chamber

History is repeating again. Last time when I killed Manik it was raining that day too; is that a sign that today is the last day of Manik. Harshad gets up and walk out with his army of werewolves

Manik saw a cave and pointed Nandini towards the cave.

M: Let's go and rest for sometime. We have been running for hours.

N: Manik kya hum phele bhi aisi jagha aa chuke hai?

M: Not that I can think of Nandini. Kyu?

N: Pata nahi kal raat se I am getting some flashes of events. I know kuch memories hai but I am confused. 

Manik cupped her face and kissed her forehead: I know you been very stressed but don't worry I will make everything okay

N: Guru ji ke pass hamara message pahuchana hoga. Only he can tell us about the immortal loophole

M: I have sent the message through Raima. We can only wait now.

Manik sits and rests his back on the walls. He forwards his hands and Nandini holds his hands and sits down beside him placing her head on his shoulder.

N: Manik I am glad we mated last night agar ....

M: Sssh.... Hum agar mating complete nahi bhi karte tab bhi Harshad tumhe chu bhi nahi sakta.

Nandini hugged him tight
