But when Socks is scared by a thunderstorm, the sisters have to decide whether to help distract their baby cousin and risk getting in trouble.

INTRO:

Mom! Dad! Bingo! Bluey!

EXT. HEELER HOUSE- FRONT PORCH

It was a rainy day at the Heeler house, and Bluey, Bingo, and Socks were romping around the backyard, oblivious to the raindrops pelting their fur.

"Thanks so much for watching Socks while Muffin's at swim school, Chilli Dog." Stripe said to his sister-in-law.

"No problem, Stirpe." Chilli slurped on her pina-colada, enjoying the cool breeze.

"I'd bring the Rockster, but she just gets so scared at the unexpected." Stripe sighed. "The kids at the swim are always splashing and yelling. It's just too much for her to handle."

"Some kids are just like that, Stripe. It's nothing to worry about."

Stripe looked at his watch. "Noon already? We're gonna be late!" He ran off the porch and into his car. "Thanks again, Chilli! See you around!"

As Chilli waved goodbye to her brother-in-law, the crash of thunder could be heard. Socks jumped into the air and yelped.

"Well, it looks like a storm's brewin' up." She got up from her chair and ushered for the girls. "Come on kids! It's raining!"

Bluey crossed her arms together and frowned. "Aw, but we don't want to go inside, Mum."

"Yeah!" Bingo stomped a foot into a mud puddle. "We want to stay outside and-"

Another thunder crash could be heard.

"Actually, never-mind-lets-go-inside." Bingo ran inside, Socks yapping behind her. Bluey had no choice but to follow her younger relatives.

"Hey, look at the bright side." Chilli shut the door. "At least we're nice and warm and have bright lights inside of-"

The power went off. Socks yelped again.

"I take that back."

"Mum, can you play a game with me?" Bluey sat upside down on the couch, kicking her feet up.

"Not now, Bluey, I'm busy." Chilli was desperately trying to scrub the mud off of Bingo's foot. "Why don't you play with Socks instead?"

Another thunder bang. Socks whimpered sadly. "I dunno..." Bluey mumbled.

"Why don't you play with the big blue guy upstairs?"

"He's working on the lights." Bluey groaned. "I'm so bored..."

Bingo giggled and ran over to the couch too, sitting upside-down and kicking her feet up. "Yeahh, Mummmm... I'm borreddd toooo..." She imitated her sister.

Chilli sighed. She was not going to have the energy to deal with a crying baby and two groaning children at the same time (whether they were faking it or not.)

Suddenly, an idea came into her head. Chilli rummaged through the drawers until she found a blue flashlight. "Say girls, have you ever made shadow puppets?"

Bluey's funk seemed to disappear as fast as it started. She rose up from her seat, her tail wagging. "Ooh yes! We did them at school once!"

"Why don't you two make shadow puppets with this flashlight until the lights come back on?" Chilli gave Bluey the flashlight and pointed to a grey, translucent button. "Now, when that button there turns red, it means the battery is low, and you must turn it off. We don't have many spare batteries left on us."
