Chapter 19

"William?" You asked, almost recognizing the name. It seemed you had some memory that had to do with a William, but it was just out of reach. "Yes.. h-he asked me if he could borrow my body? If that even sounds right.." She stared at the ground in shame. "Borrow your body? What does he do with your body?" Roxanne recoiled in disgust.

"N-nothing like that!" Belle gasped. "He just.. he borrow's it when he needs it. Like.. sometimes I'm in control, sometimes he's in control." She explained. "I've said too much.. oh no-" She flinched and her eyes grew a little darker. "Oh uhm, I was just messing around. Sorry about what I said, I hope you guys can forgive me." She sighed. "What?" You glanced around in confusion. "So William is fake too?" Roxanne growled. "Yeah, I'm done avoiding my issues. I won't lie anymore." She smiled. "I'll be here to support you." Chica clasped her hands together happily. 'Something's not right, she changed her mind too quickly.' You thought. 

"Hello? Who's there? Come out with your hands up, I'm armed!" A female voice shouted. Everyone changed to animatronic form without hesitation. Just then, a woman who appeared to be in her early twenties turned the corner and entered Rockstar Row. You decided to just act like a regular robot. "Greetings!" You waved. "Please hold still for a scan." You ordered, and then scanned her. She was apparently a newly hired security guard, and her name was Vanessa. "Vanessa is a very nice name." You complimented.

"Oh, you talk?" She seemed a little unnerved. "Well, I don't think you're supposed to be out. The instructions said you were to be in your rooms by 11.." Vanessa murmured to herself. "Okay.. uhm.. do you want to go back to- HOLY SHIT-" She yelped and started running. You were confused for a split second but then realized what was happening when Belle started running after her. "Belle, come back!" Chica shouted after them. You started chasing Belle, hoping to catch her before anything bad happened. A flash of green, and Belle was on the ground.

"Thank goodness you showed up!" Chica gasped, as Monty held Belle down. You started thinking up excuses, knowing that something really weird was going on here. "Being that she's a new animatronic, her security system may not have fully adapted yet." Freddy explained, stepping in. "We are deeply sorry, Ms. Vanessa." Freddy looked truly concerned. "No, no. I'm glad that's the security system actually, now I really shouldn't be worried if someone breaks in." She laughed lightly. In all truth, Belle was definitely not supposed to do that. You guys weren't able to harm people, it wasn't in your programming. Now, you guys had souls. This gave you free will, meaning that Belle had chosen to do that. Unless, perhaps another soul..

"I'll take her back to her room." Monty said after powering down the body. "Alright, thank you for saving me." Vanessa waved as Monty walked off to Rockstar Row. "You guys are really high tech." She whispered to herself when she turned back to you. "You guys were having a whole conversation with each other when I got here, that's so cool!" She bounced on her feet a little. "Can you play arcade games?" She asked. "Yes, we can." Roxy answered. "No way, that's awesome." Vanessa breathed out. "Alright, I'm gonna go continue getting a feel for the place." She waved and jogged off.

"She seems nice." Chica giggled. "What do you mean? This is terrible!" Roxy huffed. "Roxy, what's wrong?" You turned to her. "Don't you get it? Now we have a human waltzing around, we won't be able to just talk like normal or even go into human form. No more pizza, no more go karts, no more golf. She'd think something suspicious was going on then." Roxy furrowed her brows in frustration. "Honey, it's gonna be okay." Chica gently gripped her hand and led her away, most likely to Chica's room.

You glanced up, spotting Freddy. He was pretending to readjust his bowtie, causing a super awkward silence. "Hi." You greeted, mentally facepalming for how quietly you had said it. "Hi." He stopped adjusting his bowtie and clasped his hands together. You stared into each other eyes, the silence getting tense. "Hey guys, I just finished my favorite drawing yet!" Monty came running up, breaking that terrible silence. "Weren't you supposed to watch Belle?" You quirked an eyebrow teasingly. "Yeah.." He trailed off. "But she's sleeping, so I decided to finish it!" His facial expression turned from excited to mischievous. "Wanna see it?"

"Sure." Freddy showed interest. You hummed in agreement. Monty glanced between you two, handed you a blank paper, and ran off. "What?" You looked at it in confusion. "Try turning it over." Freddy deadpanned. You did, and your heartbeat got quicker than ever. You were sure you were about to die. "I-is that us?" Freddy coughed out. Indeed it was. It showed the two of you in human form, staring into each other's eyes. There were even little hearts floating around. It was actually pretty accurate, all the little shadows and highlights brought out your facial features perfectly. But you dropped it in the ground and ran off. Your system was definitely overheating. 

"Monty? Where are you?" You called out, furious. You heard childish snickers and spotted a green tail sticking out of Chica's doorway. "Monty- your tail, damnit!" Roxy's voice cursed in a whisper tone. "Oops, sorry." He whispered back and you watched the tail disappear into the room. You stepped quietly towards the room, and jumped into the doorway. Chica screamed when you jumped into the room, causing you to feel bad. "Chica, sorry-" You started. "That was Monty." Chica crossed her arms.

Everyone turned to him, his jaw still hanging open mid-scream. He shut it almost immediately. "Hello Bonnie, can I help you with anything?" He smiled politely. You trotted up to him, smiling in return. "You liked it?" His tail wagged behind him. His only mistake was he was in human form. "Oh yeah, I definitely liked it.." You reached up and flicked him on the nose. "Ow- why did you do that?" He whimpered. "You should have just showed it to us separately! You did that on purpose!" You face palmed. "Yeah, I did." He chuckled.
