Freddy held the door for everyone, and you all passed through. It was mostly quiet outside, except for some crickets chirping and the occasional 'hoot' from a nearby owl. You expected this, it was the middle of the night after all. Vanessa got out her car keys and got in. Chica bounded for the front seat. You didn't like the humidity, it made your skin feel sticky, so you dashed into the backseat before everyone else. Freddy, with minor difficulty, squeezed into the back of the car. He situated himself next to you.

Everybody else got in, and Bonnie shut the door. He had made sure to get himself as close to the front seat as possible, and was now playing around with the radio. Roxanne was sat behind Chica, and they were whispering to each other about something. Monty was on the other side of Freddy staring intently out the window, and Belle was laughing at something Vanessa had said. When the car started backing up, Freddy gripped your hand tightly. Your face heated up and you turned away, but could see him staring at you in the reflection of the window.

"Okay, where should we go first?" Vanessa asked as she pulled the car onto the main road. "Clothes! I wanna look at clothes!" Chica grinned. "No, we should get something to eat. I wanna see what they have around here." Roxanne argued. "We can do that another night, I don't wanna go out looking like this!" Chica huffed. "Chica's right, I want to look at clothes." Belle added. "Alright, clothes shopping it is." Vanessa laughed. "Wait, are you paying?" You asked, having to raise your voice quite a bit so Vanessa could hear all the way from the front seat. "Oh, uhm.." Monty started fumbling around for something. "I kinda expected this situation." He pulled out a small bag. There was a whole lot of money inside. "Monty? Really?" Freddy gaped. "Heh heh.." Monty rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly.

Vanessa parked the car and everyone got out. She had brought you guys too.. Walmart? "This is the only 24 hour place in the area." Vanessa shrugged. (I know it isn't, just stick with me please.) You guys didn't know the difference, you hadn't really been outside in a while. You personally had never seen a Walmart in your life as you had died a while back. "Okie dokie." Chica chirped, dashing inside. "Wait up!" Belle cried. Bonnie ran after them, but the rest of you stuck together. You looked at the clothing selection intently. There were so many different kinds of clothing, how did you know what to wear? Monty and Freddy eventually broke off from your group, leaving just you, Vanessa, and Roxy. "Ooh.." Roxy murmured, picking up a dark red shirt, with a white skull on the front.

"What's 'The Rolling Stones'?" You asked, holding a green shirt with a blue mouth on the front. It was sticking it's tongue out. "Oh, it's a band." Vanessa replied. You nodded slowly. The world had really changed since you had last seen it. Back in your day, this shirt would have been deemed inappropriate. VERY inappropriate. But here you were. You really didn't mind the design, you wondered why it was ever considered bad. You looked up from the shirt, and realized Vanessa and Roxanne had left you. "Oh." You whispered, feeling small in the huge store. You placed the shirt back on the rack and hugged yourself subconsciously.

You made your way through the aisles nervously. Your eyes flicked from side to side, eyeing the people you came across. "Are you from around here?" You jumped at the voice, and almost responded. You then remembered your whole super hearing thing. You must have picked up on someone's conversation. "Uhm, yes." It was Freddy. Freddy was nearby! You got excited and started following the voices. "Can I have your snap? You're kind of cute to be honest." You froze, and felt really cold. That was your man! You rounded the corner, but when you saw the girl you went quiet. She was really pretty. A petite brunette with beautiful green eyes. And Freddy was smiling at her, as if he was actually enjoying the conversation.

Freddy hadn't really had a chance to meet other people, as he was dead. Of course he would choose her over you. You backed off immediately and stopped listening to the conversation. You grabbed the clothes you had found so far and dropped them. You were done with this trip. You would wait outside for them. You quickly and quietly found your way to the exit. She was so pretty. She was real. You were simply a soul. He had only chosen you because you were basically his only choice. He didn't really like you. He never would, he was just desperate. You growled internally to yourself and fought off the tears. You didn't like him either. It didn't matter.

You found yourself outside sooner than expected, but you weren't the only person outside. You were walking to Vanessa's car when someone stopped you. "Hey, have you seen my dog?" They called out to you. "W-what? Me?" You turned towards them and pointed to yourself. "Yeah! Here, I have a picture of him right here." The person drove up to you and held up a paper. You came closer, but yelped when someone covered your mouth with their cold hand. 'No!' You panicked, squirming against their grip. The door to the van swung open and they carried you in. The door shut and they wrapped your wrists in tape. You hissed as it stuck and pulled at your skin. "No, please." You whispered, watching out the windows as the large bright Walmart sign got smaller and smaller.
