Madelaine confronted her parents and they told her that she had to marry Sebastian or else she would be punished severely.this sent Madelaine into a mental breakdown which resulted in her taking a sharp axe and killing both her parents, Sebastian and the girl he was flirting with.after that Madelaine was no longer the kind princess she once was and the people became afraid of her.Madelaine took over as queen and ruled the kingdom with a frozen heart as she would punish people for the smallest offense.she wanted to make sure she would never get her heart broken again by anyone.
