Elijah could only remember the cold steel leaving his heart as his body succumbed to darkness. He remembers the cold determination in Mikael's eyes and the screams of his siblings as his father slaughtered his children.

On his second death lying within the enchanted circle slowly succumbing into the loving embrace of death, he could only see her. Samira, his first love, the one that got away.

The only woman who embraced his demons, and was murdered for his sins.

As he lay dying, lovingly embraced with the arms of a walking memory she pleaded him to live, as her tears watered his face, she pleaded with him to save their daughter from her eternal prison.

But Elijah could only think of how peaceful he felt in her arms once again, how at ease his body felt the many nights locked in a passionate dance. He'd almost forgotten the sound of her voice, the way her bronze skin shone like gems under the dying embers of the last rays of summer, and how her golden eyes came alive under his loving gaze.

He couldn't believe he allowed himself to forget heaven.
