PART 4: Military

Author's POV:
As the assembly began at exact 6 am, y/n couldn't help but feel a bit nervous.

This was her first day in the military, and she was surrounded by so many people she didn't know.

She took a deep breath and looked around the lot, trying to take everything in.

That's when she saw him. Jungkook was standing at the front of the lot, his eyes scanning the crowd.

Their eyes met for only a moment, but it was enough to make y/n's heart skip a beat.

As the assembly continued, y/n tried to focus on what Baekhyun, her brother, and co-captain were saying. But her mind kept drifting back to Jungkook.

She couldn't shake the feeling that there was something special about him.

Y/n's POV:
Jungkook started walking through the rows. As baekhyun was marking the attendance of everyone.

"Chanyeol!" He asked if the trainee chanyeol is there in the assembly.

But I got no respons. "The trainee who'll be late, or skip the day will be punished, and I hope that the rest of you except new trainees know that." What kind of punishment is baekhyun talking about?

I was so in thinking it that I didn't notice jungkook was walking through my row now. "Straight posture," his cold voice ringed in my ears. I tilted my face to see him.

He was standing right beside me. So close. "Don't move your neck, and stand in straight posture," he complained about my not so good posture.

After all, I'm new to it he should know it. I joined my feet and looked straight.

He walked away from this row yet to another.

Author's POV:
After the assembly, y/n found herself walking towards Jungkook. She didn't know why, but she felt drawn to him.

"Hey," she said, trying to sound casual.

"Hi," Jungkook replied

As y/n tried to initiate conversation with Jungkook, she couldn't help but notice how detached he seemed.

He responded with polite and short answers but didn't seem interested in continuing the conversation.

Y/n couldn't help but feel a pang of disappointment. She had been so excited to talk to him, but it seemed like he wasn't feeling the same way.

Feeling a bit discouraged, y/n decided to let it go and focus on her duties.

Y/n's POV:
"Alright, soldiers, I want you all to gather around here." It was baekhyun holding the megaphone.

We all gathered there. "It might be the first day for some of you, but not for the most of you," he announced.

"Today's training won't be that tough, but for new soldiers, it might be," baekhyun roamed his sight, and
He kept looking around until it landed on me.

I guess he knew that I'm nervous. "But, since captain jungkook and I'm here, you shouldn't be worried," he's the best brother.

"We'll anounce 20 names of males and 20 names of females, whereas they'll be in captain jeons supervision and the rest 40 in mine." Seems like speaking load was all on baekhyun.

Jungkook held the megaphone from baekhyun. "I'll take the names and please line up in a que," his voice is music to my ears now.

So deep and affective. "Yam hee, Chang Lee, Kwan...." So on, he took the names.

"Byun y/n and Park Jimin," the last pair name. Was of me and park jimin woah. The one who caught me?

I thought he's a soldier. Well, never mind. "So I hope you all know the meaning of being a soldier and getting trained for it." Jungkook spoke to us.
