Dinner at Shergils

Epilogue

Adding this as an epilogue as this is not part of main story (dinner) but something that follows

Monami and Karan enter the academy together. A group consisting of Faizi, Sid, Banta Singh and some other cadets is discussing something loudly. As they both look at the commotion, Monami steps on her saree, slips, screams an "ouch" while Karan extends her hand, she grabs it and stabilises herself. Everyone looks at the direction of the scream to see Karan and Monami at the entrance, hand in hand, Monami in a saree. They go quiet in awe when Karan asks "is everything okay here?"
No one responds. Karan and a Monami look at each other. Monami says "Good night", Karan nods and they both leave for their respective rooms

Monami's room:
Sid enters as Monami is taking out her night clothes.

"Tum dono ne mandir mein shaadi kar li kya? Baby doll banke gayi Thi bhabhiji ban ke aayi hai. Tujhe resist nahi kar paya na wo."

Karan's Room:
Faizi watches Karan in a good mood, smiling.

"Badle badle se mizaaj hai janab ke. Bhai kyon na ho, ek khoobsoort haseena ke saath jo dhamakedaar couple entry maari hai na, Ram aur Sita ki jodi lag rahi thi, kasam se"

Monami's room:

Monami: "Sid you mad or what? Khadoos Shergil aur main, absolutely koi chance nahi hai. Tujhe idea nahi hai wo poori shaam kitna rude tha mujhse. Mujhe tolerate bhi nahi kar pa raha tha"

Sid: "Phir ye saree and all ka kya scene hai"

Karan's Room:

Karan: "Ab Tu bakwaas mat kar. Already bhabhi ko samjha ke aa raha hoon ki Aisa kuch nahi hai. Unko bhi pata nahi kya soojhi Monami ko saree dene ki."

Faizi: "Saree di matlab? Shagun diya kya? Kya chakkar hai ye??

Monami & Karan room: Both explain to Sid/Faizi, the sequence of events at Bhabhi's house

Monami's Room:

Sid: "So you two were technically alone in a dark house, with only Candle lights in a rainy night, with you in Karan's T-shirt..... Itni romantic setting mein usne tujhe notice to kiya hoga"

Monami: "Haan, Kiya Na Meri fumbles, Meri galtiyan, Meri kamiyan sab notice kiya usne ... aur sunaya bhi"

Sid: "Nahi yaar, aise kaise ... itna perfect alone time tha ...Aisa koi chance nahi mila jahan usne tujhe thoda romantically notice kiya ho?"

Karan's room:

Faizi: "Kyaaaaa kyaaaaaa... tumhare saamne ek hot ladki bheegi bhaagi si khadi thi ... aur Tum use lecture de rahe the?"

Karan: "Arrey wo beemaar padh jaati, isliye maine use apne kapde diye pehenne ko"

Faizi (screaming) Doctor to wo hai, Tum saare romantic situation ka kachra kyon kar rahe the?"

"Aur jab wo tumhare saamne , tumhare kapdon mein aayi , tumhein tab bhi kuch feel nahi hua... I mean her body was wrapped in your tshirt"

Karan: "kya bol raha hai Faizi, cadet hai wo Meri, Aisa bakwaas khayal nahi aate uske liye mere man mein"

Faizi: Academy ki cadet hai, tumhari personal cadet nahi hai. Aur seriously tumhe ek pal ke liye bhi use dekh ke kuch alag feel nahi hua??"

Monami & Karan room: Both remember the moment when Karan had held Monami by waist/hip and stopped her from falling and Monami had grabbed Karan's shirt.

Monami's room:
Monami: "Shut up Sid. Forget it all."
Sid: "Tu isliye sad hai ki usne tujhe notice nahi kiya , ya isliye ki usne tujhe daanta. I mean wo to roz hi daantta hai. Wo suna raha that to Tu use tight wala hug kar  deti.
"Achcha uski chhod Tu bata, tujhe uski t-shirt pehenke kaise feel hua. Aise jaise uski strong arms tujhe hug kar rahi ho"

Monami: "Please Sid. Uski strong arms ki image na Mujhe gusse me crossed ya uski waist ko pakdi hui flexed hi dikhti hai. Hug mein to bilkul nahi."

Karan's room:
Karan: "Alag to wo hai. But Uska jazba same hai. (Karan thought about Monami's words on their differences and similarities)

Faizi: "Jazba dekh rahein hain, achhi baat hai. Ek baar uske dil pe bhi dhyan de dijiye. Shaayad Dhadkane bhi same lagein aapko.
(Getting serious) Tum dono ke beech ek connection hai Karan. Humein dikhta hai, Bhabhi ko bhi dikha, tumhe nahi dikhta?

Monami's room:
Monami: "Mujhe usko dikhana hai Sid , khud ko Prove karna hai. Mujhe best cadet banna hai.
Ek din wo khud genuinely bolega ki main yahan ki "best cadet" hoon. Dekhna Sid."

Sid: "I am sure Monu. You will be. He will accept it.
And Tu stress mat le, tera charm bhi zyada din resist nahi kar payega." "Now sleep and sote hue kuch achcha sochna , for example, aaj kya ho sakta tha agar Tum dono ka focus training pe nahi hota. Just imagine."

Karan's room:
Karan nodded his head in "No". "Pata hai Monami kaafi transparent thi aaj. Sab bataya usne aaj about why she thinks she deserves a chance here. I am glad we talked"
Faizi (taps on Karan's shoulders) : "wo sab theek hai janab ji but kabhi to us training mode ke alawa kuch sochiye."
Karan (annoyed): "So ja Faizi. Good night."
Faizi: "Jaa rahe hain. But please aaj jab aap soyein, to training aur academy ke alawa kuch aur sochiyega. Kuch Aisa jo aapke dil ko chhua Ho"

Monami & Karan room: Both in their respective beds slept with a smile on their face reflecting the events in the evening and Sid/Faizi's parting words. As the closed their eyes and imagined, both of them had big smiles thinking about each other.
