Si

After waking up a little after eleven, I was sitting up watching Cam gather my belongings.

"Ight ma. I got everything right?" He asked double checking my bag.

I scanned the room before gently nodding my head.

Knock knock!

"Come in!" I yelled.

The door opened and my brother and Bre walked in.

"Hey sis! How you feeling?" Bre had a smile on her face as she sat next to me on the bed.

I hugged her gently before responding.

"Im feeling slightly better. Where's Jay?" I asked them.

Gunna walked over and kissed my forehead.

"Well they had their own thing going on that needed to be handled. She's good though." She answered.

I nodded my head and sighed.

"What's wrong baby?" Cam walked over to me.

"Nothing I'm just ready to go. Can we get some ice cream? I been craving it I don't know why." I asked him.

He nodded and helped me down.

My brother hugged me giving me a gentle squeeze.

"I'm glad you straight lil' sis." He told me.

After we all walked down the hallway and through some doors, we stopped and thanked the doctors and nurses for everything.

Shading my eyes from the sun once we were in the parking lot, I found Cam's car and walked to the passenger side.

"We'll meet y'all at the house, ima' take her to get ice cream first." Cam informed them.

They nodded and we bid our goodbyes before going our separate ways.

"How you feeling ma?" He glanced over at me as he drove out of the lot.

I chuckled. "Please don't keep asking me that every five minutes. I'm good though." I reassured him.

"Im just making sure my baby straight that's all. What kind of ice cream you want?" He asked, merging into traffic.

"Dairy Queen." I smiled.

"I ain't say where I said what kind. And that shit is nasty." He mugged.

"Not if you get vanilla or cookies and cream. Which I am, thank you very much." I smiled.

I reached down into my bag and quickly grabbed my phone, ignoring the pain in my side as I fixed my seat belt.

"It's probably dead. I haven't touched it since we been in the hospital." He informed.
