Indelible

No matter what happens
Or how much time passes by
There is a little space in my brain
That you have taken permanent residence
No matter how hard I try
To forget everything about you
I just can't delete you from my mind
That space you will always occupy
Despite all the tears you caused
You will never wash away
And I can't bring myself to scratch your name off
Or kick you out
But one day
I hope someone else comes by
With the eviction
So I can finally see you leave
