I saw you in my dreams
Last night
But not in the way you think
I saw as you stood above me
My head underwater
But what hurt the most
Was when you slapped my hand away
As I reached out
From the depths
Towards you
And the light in your eyes
No longer there
I saw you in my dreams
Last night
As I sank to the bottom
Another fossil for the ocean floor
