Pulling your foot back, you stretched your quad silently, before doing the same to the other foot. Everyone on the field was doing their own thing momentarily, hearing the VAR countdown to kickoff.
You scanned the players from the other team, seeing a peculiar duo of what you could only assume to be twins or brothers.
Their tall stature and oddly shaped eyebrows caused you to narrow your eyes as you studied them. They seemed to be chuckling, looking over at somebody on your team.
Tracing their gaze, you quirked a brow upon seeing Chigiri, also glaring back at them.
Sauntering over to him, you pointed at the brothers, "Do you know those guys or something?"
"I do, unfortunately." The pink-haired male responded, shifting his gaze to you, and pursing his lips together, "They used to play on my high school team before I came here. Middle school as well for that matter."
"What do you mean, unfortunately?"
Before he could answer your question, the VAR sounded loudly, telling everybody to get into their positions as the time counted down from ten seconds.
Sending him a small smile of reassurance, you made your way to the offensive midfielder position, rolling your shoulders and lightly moving on your toes in place as Naruhaya yelled words of affirmation from the sideline.
During yesterday's team meeting before bed, you all agreed on using a 4-3-2-1 formation, so all attacks could be focused on one interchanging striker. You and Chigiri agreed to stay permanently in your positions.
