How agonizing it is to see you,
being taken away by someone else
Out of manipulative words,
false promises that tried harder to keep you from me
We're never ready for the pain if betrayal gets the best of us
In front of my eyes I see the world crumble
If I can just take your hand and run away
Far away just the us two
Because the idea of protecting you became my priority,
instead of hurting myself watching you with someone else
I'll go out of my way to keep a smile on your face the time we last.
