Kaveri's POV

I want to earn money but I know that finding a job with my qualifications is not easy. I'm not certain about my future but I know that atleast I should have money to survive.

Not knowing how to buy a new phone, I stared outside the window but seeing krishna's house made me feel like killing him and his children. I hate thinking about them and I hate the idea of their existence. I hate myself for hating the innocent children. I feel like I turned into a completely bitter person. I sometimes feel like I may hurt them to hurt Krishna.

Fearing my own thoughts, I quickly closed the window and slapped myself to get rid of such thoughts and rushed towards the sink to splash water on my face. But nothing was making me get rid of such thoughts so I went out of the house. I don't know where to go and just walked on the road aimlessly.

Abhay's POV

I suddenly stopped the car when a woman crashed into my car. I immediately got out of the car only to see an injured lady and picked her up in my arms and placed her in the backseat of my car.

I felt uncomfortable seeing her soaked in blood. It reminded me of my brother's and sister in-law's accident and their deaths. How can anyone be so careless? Do people even know the consequences of death? Do people even know how one death can change many lives? My five year old daughter, Nandini who is in the backseat placed the woman's head on her lap and tried to wake her up while my eight year old son, Siddhant said, "Nanna! Go fast. We should save her."

I don't know anything about the injured woman but I suddenly had this intense urge to slap some sense into the lady's head.

My daughter cried when the lady was taken to the emergency ward while my son sat silently thinking deeply. As it was an accident case, the police came and enquired me about it and I informed them that the lady came in the wrong route and crashed into my car.

The doctors informed me that the lady needs and immediate blood transfusion so after the required tests are done, I donated my blood to the lady.

I left with my children after the lady's family members came to the hospital. An elderly woman and a man who introduced themselves as the injured lady's mother-in-law and husband respectively thanked me for bringing the injured lady to the hospital on time.

After convincing my children that the lady is fine and I would bring them to the hospital again to meet her, they agreed to go home.

My son looked very disturbed witnessing the accident. My daughter easily got distracted as soon as my mother gave her a new toy but my son seemed to still think about the lady.

Siddhant and Nandini are my elder brother's children. Nandini was just two years old and Siddhant was five years old when they lost both their parents in an accident.

Three years back, my brother and sister in-law along with Siddhant were coming back from a family function but unfortunately their car met with an accident, they both were severely injured but my sister in-law held Siddhant tightly in her arms to shield him from the impact of the accident but even then Siddhant was also severely hurt. Fortunately they left Nandini with my mother as she was was having fever.

Both of them lost their lives on spot and Siddhant struggled in the ICU and didn't even witness his parents' last rites while Nandini who was present didn't understand anything and didn't even cry on her own parents' funeral.

Three years back, I decided to become the father for my brothers' children and decided to stay single. I want to become the best father for my children and I'm still trying to become one.

Now my son is just a eight year old boy but witnessing his parents death made him very different from other children. He is too mature for his age and always takes care of his sister but today he didn't even console his sister.

In this age where children are supposed to play without any worries, my son is always very silent and doesn't interact with anyone which is already a very concerning issue for me and now that stupid lady made my son even more disturbed.

I explained everything to my mother and she said, "Dont worry. Let's take him tomorrow to the hospital tomorrow and seeing the woman fine, he will again become normal."

The next day, we went to the hospital to visit the lady to see her covered with bandages. As soon as we entered the room, her mother in-law welcomed us. She introduced me to the lady saying, "Dear! He is the one who saved you yesterday." To which the lady gave me a smile and said, "Thank you for saving me sir." To which before I could say anything my usually silent son interrupted and said, "Aunt! You should behave carefully on the road. You should carefully observe your surroundings while crossing the road." To which the lady looked embarrassed and replied, "Yea. Sure. I'll be careful."

I placed the fruit basket on a table beside which was placed beside the lady and she said, "What's the need for all these andi? You already did a lot." To which I replied, "It's fine andi."

Our conversation got interrupted when my daughter said, "Aunt! Where is you hair? Yesterday you had hair but today you don't have. Where did your hair go aunt." To which the lady laughed and said, "They cut my hair to treat me." To which my daughter looked shocked and said, "But why. Can't they treat you without cutting your hair? Now won't your friends tease you." To which the lady laughed which sounded like a music to my ears.
