We sat there all silent my father's face red with fury to the point you could see the veins pop out of his forehead. "Get the police on the phone right now." He said to one of the housemaids. "Papa no!" I cried. I quickly held his hand tightly. I inhaled a deep breath. "I am leaving father if you call the cops. With Spot. If you have him arrested then I promise I will flee far away from here until he gets out of jail. You will never see me or your grandchild again."

"So be it." He stated which made me want to vomit and made my throat swell up. "Let's go Spot." We went to his tenement and he paced back and forth. "Let's start packing up everything we have. We'll leave in a week." I pawned my broach that I was wearing to help with the train tickets and another small tenement. "Where are we going?" I asked him. "Colorado. I have a friend up there who will let us crash there for a while until I find a new job and we get back on our feet. I allowed more tears to fall from my face and he held me tightly. "Wes gonna be alright kid. You'll see. I knows this is really hard on yous." I nodded and we heard a knock on the door. We stood silent. "Hey yous gonna open up or what?" Spot sighed in relief and opened the door. I couldn't see who was behind the door but I knew just by the sound of his voice. "Yous was gonna leave without saying goodbye?" I smiled. "Race." I ran up and hugged him tightly. "Yous showing. A couple more months and you'll burn the bread."

"I'm only 4 months."

"Yous sure about that?" He smiled and I nodded. "Been checked by the doctor and everything. "Look Spot I don't mean to put this load on yous but a lot of the old gang is coming down."

"Who do you mean by everyone?" Spot asked. "David, Jack, Boots, Must, well... everybody. We wanna say bye to you and the Mrs." Spot smiled widely and before we knew it the tenement was packed with all of Spot's friends. I couldn't see Elenore and say goodbye to her, but at least Lily and Sarah and of course Spots friends had become mine as well so I had them too. We had a good time anyway. And soon 5 pm approached and it was time to head off to the 6:00 train to Colorado. All of them gave me a hug and Spot held me by the waist and we walked to the rain station reaching it just in time. It felt like a month before we finally arrived in Colorado. I had to admit it was really beautiful here. All of the pine trees and open area. "Who is this friend of yours that we are going to stay with?"

"Less of a friend more of a man who owes me a favor." I furrowed my eyebrows. "What for?"

"Let's just say I'd be more than locked up if Is ever told, anybody." I stared at him worried and he smirked. "Don't worry about it doll. We'll stay here for a couple of years until things calm down and we'll go back I promise." I kissed him softly trusting him with everything
