"Jungkook!" Jin shouts as he looks into every room of the house, finding it completely desolate and overwhelmingly silent. His heart is racing, pounding and threatening to burst out of his chest. This sinking feeling, this anxiety, is something he hasn't felt before, at least not to this degree. He feels like crying out of pure frustration.

He opens the last room and he's suddenly at the company, specifically in the hall on Jungkook's floor. He wastes no time and runs to his door, throwing it open to find Jungkook at his desk. He breathes out in relief as he's finally found him.

"Jungkook," Jin sighs softly but he doesn't seem to hear him. "Jungkook?"

He walks towards his desk and with eyebrows furrowed, Jungkook throws his head back, letting out a big sigh.

     "What's wrong?"

He stares on, the feeling of dread washing over him once more. Jungkook then looks down with a smile and this confuses Jin until someone appears from underneath his desk, the woman crawling onto Jungkook's lap from the floor. His lips begin to quiver and his eyes well up with tears as he witnesses Jungkook being lovey dovey with someone else, someone who clearly isn't him.

"Jungkook! Why would you do this to me?" He cries out but the pair ignore him, continuing their affectionate caresses.

"I love you," Jungkook says to the woman, looking at her like she's the most precious thing in the world.

Jin falls to his knees, clenching his eyes shut and chanting over and over to himself to wake up, that it's all just a really bad dream. He opens his eyes and this time, Jungkook is looking right at him. But instead of love or care, he finds disgust in his eyes.

Jin jolts awake, his pillow damp with tears.

"Jin, are you ok? What's wrong?" Jungkook asks, concerned. Instead of replying, Jin throws himself into his arms, burying his face into his chest and continuing to cry softly.

Jungkook hugs him tightly, rubbing his back to try and calm him down. He kisses the top of his head. "Shh, it's ok. Hey, look at me."

It takes Jin a minute, not wanting to show Jungkook what a complete mess he must look like right now. However, it's too late to worry about that. Jin pulls away a little to do what he's told and Jungkook cups his face, wiping away his tears before pecking his forehead followed by both of his cheeks.

"Take deep breaths and focus on me, ok? Slowly."

Jin tries to follow his lead but his hiccups are making it difficult for him. Eventually, his breathing is in time with Jungkook's and he then sighs heavily, shutting his eyes.

"What do you need? Do you need me to get you any water? Let me—"

"No!" He cries out, clinging onto him. "I need you. Please don't leave."

Jungkook's heart sinks and he stays put just like he asked, listening to Jin's harsh sniffles. This worries him as he's never witnessed Jin like this. He's not sure what to do but if embracing Jin is working towards soothing him, he'll do it forever.

Jin finds himself embarrassed after a couple of minutes. It's been so long since he's had a panic attack, since high school actually, and he doesn't exactly know why. He's had worries with his previous partners and sure, he was scared they'd leave him once they were satisfied. But the thought of Jungkook doing the same and moving on so easily terrifies him more. He doesn't like it.

     "I'm sorry," he croaks.

We only just started dating. What if he finds me troublesome?

"Sweetheart, don't ever be sorry. It's not your fault," he quietly assures him. Hesitant, he asks, "was it a really bad nightmare?"

Jin just nods and remains silent, Jungkook figuring he doesn't want to talk about it right now. So he lets him be, willing to wait until Jin is ready. But for the moment, Jin just wants to stay like they are now, Jungkook's scent and warmth slowly lulling him back to sleep.

Jin wakes up hours later by himself and he sits up, looking for Jungkook. He grabs his phone and his eyes widen as it's almost noon, he must've slept through his alarm. He quickly gets out of bed, his heart racing. He's already missed his two classes for the day and he's sure Jungkook got the kids ready but what if he's mad at him for not doing his job? Just because they're together now doesn't mean he can just slack off. He's ashamed of himself.

Just as he's about to open the door, Jungkook walks into the room first and they bump into each other.

"Woah, good morning," Jungkook chuckles as he holds him.

"I'm so sorry. I didn't hear my alarm and... why aren't you at work?"

Jungkook nestles his head on Jin's shoulder. "I took the day off. The kids are already at school and Jeongin is downstairs waiting for us to have lunch together."

He missed work because of me.

"I'm sorry. I—"

Jungkook silences him with a kiss on the cheek, rubbing the apple of his cheeks and staring at him fondly. "You apologize too much, sweet pea. Don't worry, a day off won't kill me. I have my brother and Hoseok to back me up so it's no problem."

"I still feel bad though. Are you sure it's ok?" He mumbles.

"Of course. Now go wash up and then come and join us," he says, kissing his forehead.

This makes Jin smile, feeling a little better. He's always been a sucker for forehead kisses and while he used to beg his exes for them, Jungkook seems to be armed with plenty.

     "Ok."

They spend the rest of the afternoon together, playing with Jeongin to his little heart's content. Jin sits back and watches as Jungkook and Jeongin have a tickle fight, the little boy's giggles filling the room and his heart swells. This moment makes him feel like this is his own little family and he blushes.

Does this mean Jungkook wants a family with me now? Of course it has to, right? He wouldn't have asked me out if he didn't.

"You're such a good dad," Jin blurts out and Jungkook stops, glancing up at him and he smiles.

"I try to be. I know I'm not always perfect and it honestly frustrates me. But they make it easier for me to accept my faults and to work on them. I always want to be better for them," he admits and this just makes Jin like him even more.

     "What time is it?"

"Mm," Jin hums while he pulls out his phone. "Oh, it's almost time to pick up the kiddos. I'll go and get them since you dropped them off in the morning."

He gets up and Jungkook follows suit, carrying Jeongin.

     "Why don't we go together?"
     "You want to?"

"Of course I do. I'm a little offended that you'd think I wouldn't," he says playfully but he notices that Jin is about to apologize again so he kisses him. Their lips slowly move together, their tongues playing and teasing one another. With cheeks flushed, Jin pulls away when he remembers that Jeongin is right there with them and Jungkook smirks at how cute he is being.

"Let's go."
