Break was finally coming to an end. We had a week before classes started again, but we were allowed back on campus this week. I had left earlier this morning. After some teary goodbyes to my siblings, parents, aunts, and Julie, I had made my way back to the campus. Morgan and Amy were already here themselves. They had come back last night and got settled back in.
I had been chatting with Jason since everything happened. He had told me that both him and Megan came back yesterday too. I was hoping this meant I would be able to see her finally. She had been avoiding me since the park. Trying to get her out with Jasons help didn't work again. Going to her house didn't either. If it wasn't her brother, her dad was the one answering the door. Neither of them would let me in, and I didnt have a way to contact her myself.
I was walking through the dorm hallways when I felt someone jump onto my back, almost causing me to fall over. "Bailey!"
"Amy." I grunted as I tried to keep my balance. "What the hell?"
She started kissing all over my cheeks. "I missed you so much."
I grabbed her legs so she was more stable on my back. "I missed you too. You're acting like you haven't seen me in years though."
I grabbed the handle of my suitcase and continued to walk towards my dorm. Thankful that I had experience in this department from having so many younger siblings.
"I haven't seen you in a month and a half. What other response is reasonable?"
"Amy, we talked almost everyday on the phone. It's not like we went that long with no contact." I made it to the elevator and pressed the button to go up to my floor. Amy was still holding on tight and clutching onto me like her life depended on it.
"It's not the same! I needed my baby right next to me."
I rolled my eyes as the door opened. "You're insufferable."
She leaned her head into me "You love me."
"I do." I agreed.
We got up to my dorm door, but instead of opening mine I knocked on the one right across from it. A couple of seconds passed before Morgan came to the door. Before she said anything I turned around. "Can you get her off of me? She jumped on me once she saw me and won't come off."
Morgan chuckled. "I can try." It took her a couple of seconds, but after some struggling and complaining from Amy she managed to pry her off of me.
I hugged Morgan as soon as I could. "I missed you."
She hugged me back just as tight. "I missed you more."
"I missed her the most!" Amy said as she joined the hug too.
Morgan and I laughed. The three of us walked into the dorm. Immediate disappointment filled me as I saw that it was empty. There were no signs that Megan had been here yet, though she had already come back into town.
"So what have you guys been up to?" I asked them as I started to unpack.
The two of them sat themselves on my bed. "Nothing really. We were mainly waiting on you. Amy has been bugging me since she didn't have you here. As soon as you texted us telling us you were here she went rushing out of the room."
"What are we going to do with you?" I questioned Amy. She just gave me a cheeky smile instead of answering.
After my things were unpacked the three of us sat on my bed and talked about how our breaks went. We discussed some of the classes that we all had together this semester and some plans on what we wanted to do during the week. The two of them had noticed after a while that I was distracted. I kept looking towards Megan's side of the room. Wondering just where she could be.
