Y/n's pov:

I was walking side by side with Victoria after she purchased her dress, and we decided to take a little stroll

"Y/n,"

"Yes, Victoria?"

She took a deep breath and then slowly let it out

"Do you perhaps have any idea if I'll be happy in this, marriage?"

I paused for a moment to process the question before me, unsure of how to answer

I then looked up at the clock that happened to be in front of us

"Guess there is only one way to find out. Let's head to the church, wouldn't wanna be late for your wedding rehearsal"

She slightly nods her head with uncertainty

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"You're just on time."
I put my hands on my knees while catching my breath to be able to respond
"Great, glad we were able to get here."
Mrs. Everglot then rolled her eyes and made her way to her chair next to her husband
The priest then spoke up
"Let's begin with the practice of the ceremony, shall we?"
As I make my way to a chair in the back, I give a reassuring look and a thumbs up to Victoria
I also mouth the words,
'You got this '
A guy then entire the room and walked towards Mrs. Everglot
"Get a chair for Lord Barkis"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After an hour went by, the priest told him to get out the ring that was in his right pocket

'Finally.'

He held it up when suddenly it slipped out of his fingers and rolls underneath Mrs. Everglots dress

I covered my mouth with my hand in an attempt to hide my expression of amusement

As if it couldn't get worse, he dove his hand underneath her dress as a shocked expression formed on her face

Then, when he went to pull his head out, he knocked over a candle and caught her clothing on fire, making everybody, except me, panic

I was in the corner choking on my saliva from trying so hard not to burst out laughing

"Victoria, he is a keeper for sure."

I slap my hand against my knee as tears spill

Before anyone could get a bucket of water, Lord Barkis pours the remaining liquid of red wine from his cup onto the dress that was on fire

Mrs. Everglot was furious along with pretty much everyone else

"Enough, this wedding can't take place until he is properly prepared."

He then points to the frightened, tall man named Victor and talks in a disappointed tone

"Young man, learn your vows."

I started to feel bad, this is a planned wedding, and it can't be easy to marry a stranger

Without a second thought, I spoke

"I'll help him practice."
