The reader is a younger sibling to Sebek because I am absolutely sure that Sebek has a soft spot for family. Also slight Silver x Reader because I also kind of wanted to write an overprotective Sebek.))
NRC finally had a family day, which was something that Sebek ((he would never admit it)) looked forward to. He missed his younger sibling, Y/N dearly and even wrote to them when he wasn't busy taking care of Malleus, doing school work or training. Everyone else noticed his shift in attitude.
"My, Sebek, you seem very cheerful, what's going on?" Lilia asked,
"What? Cheerful? I'm just normal!" Sebek stated.
"It's family day tomorrow and Sebek's excited to see his sibling again." Silver explained. Lilia noted that Silver also had a slight smile on his face,
"Hey! Lilia asked ME! not YOU. Anyways, who said I'm excited to see them again?"
". . . You're smiling-" Silver pointed out. Sebek gritted his teeth,
"Whatever! I'm going to train!" With that, he marched away, sword in hand. Lilia started laughing,
"He says that now, but, he's going to be sobbing tomorrow-"
The day seemed to drag on forever as Sebek kept on checking the clock, waiting for 7:00 am the next day to happen. That was when Y/N was supposed to appear. He had planned a grand tour of the school as Y/N would ((hopefully)) get accepted and start attending Night Raven College next year. Finally, the clock clicked to 6:55 and Sebek practically ran to the gate to wait for his sibling. He passed the time by marching back and forth until he felt a tap on his shoulder, "Who dares disturb my marching?!" He shouted,
"You still haven't changed?" The person asked,
"Y/N????? You've grown last time since I've saw you-"
"We're only a year apart. I'm pretty sure I've stopped growing or I'm growing slowly-" Y/N pointed out. Sebek just ignored the comment,
"Well, I have a tour planned for you, but first, let's stop for tea, since I'm guessing you want to see Lilia and Malleus again."
"I also want to see Silver again." Y/N pointed out. Sebek rolled his eyes at that comment. He knew those two were close. It was a given as back in Briar Valley, the three of them used to hang out all the time. However, something slightly irked him about whenever Y/N and Silver interacted. They seemed to be way too close for his liking.
After twenty minutes, the siblings *finally* found their way to the Diasomnia common room. Sebek had purposely taken the scenic route to get Y/N familiar with the school. He watched as Y/N acknowledged that they were in the same room as Malleus Draconia with a bow. That was a requirement, however, his chest filled with pride anyways.
"It seems you remember basic manners." Sebek said, nodding in approval. The siblings took a seat and began to catch up over some coffee, "I would hope your training's going well."
"It is! I've learned new offensive spells and how to cast barriers. Except. . ." Y/N trailed off, suddenly feeling ashamed.
"Well, what is it? There's no benefit in hiding something if it's bothering you!" Sebek pointed out, suddenly setting down his sweetened coffee. His facial expression held a slight bit of concern,
". . . So. . . I haven't developed my Signature(/Unique) Spell (/Magic) yet. . . Does that mean I won't get accepted into this academy?" Y/N asked, extremely worried. Sebek let out a sigh,
