The next two days I was stressed especially after learning that Zander only needs one more thing to complete the prophecy and I was getting nowhere with the translation. Right now I was sparring with Damien while I also was trying to translate the Prophecy on the base computer, putting the system in high gear. Sweat was drizzling down the side of my face while Damien was throwing multiple combinations at me as I avoided and blocked all of them. Eventually I put Damien in a pin with the both of us panting heavily as I was hovering above him.
"You seem distracted Kat...are you okay?" he asked from below me I rubbed my fingers through my wet hair nodding yes to him.
"Yeah...just so much going on right now with the Prophecy and I can't make heads or tails with the final piece. It is driving me crazy." I explained staring deeply into his dark eyes feeling awkward for a moment.
"You are putting yourself through the ringer Kat with everything. When was the last time you fully slept?" Damien asked below me as I snapped out of my blank stare to see him looking back at me again.
"I don't really know...after coming back from the dead well it takes a toll on you and frankly I can't sleep until I figure out how to stop Zander." I answered unaware that Damien used this to flip me off him and I landed on the floor with him on top of me now.
"We'll stop him Kat...I promise." He replied I sighed as I just remained still underneath him, his hands had my wrists pinned on either side of my face and some of his sweat dripped onto my chest. I saw his eyes shift for a second then locked back onto mine as I saw him lower his face to mine. What happened I didn't expect to happen; Damien's lips were touching mine. My stomach exploded with happiness as the kiss was soft and welcomed but the moment Damien realized what was happening he broke away from me. "Kat...I'm..." He couldn't finish because the computer beeps cutting him off as he hops off me and helps me to my feet. I moved quickly to the computer seeing a strange looking almost skeleton like, it was around nine at night so I guess that fit his demeanor.
"Hydras...Manticores...Succubuses...now walking skeletons. What's next Furies?" I muttered to myself shaking my head at the screen before turning to Damien next to me. He was still feeling awkward about the kiss and I was too except right now we had another thing to deal with.
"Should we call the others?" Damien asked I squinted at the screen trying to see if anything in Athena's memory could tell us who or what this creature was.
"They are probably on their way here and frankly I don't think we should wait for them, do you?" I pointed out seeing Damien's face twist then nod in agreement as I got up standing next to him. In unison we pulled out crystals free from our neck and positioned ourselves to trigger our transformation sequence.
"Mythic Knights Armor On!" We both yelled triggering the sequence and after we morphed I hit the button to trigger the transporter then we were teleported to the scene.
"Hey...skeletor...looking for us?" Damien snickered with his dual kamas in his hands as he didn't waste a moment to attack it. With a swipe he managed to slit a cut across the abdomen of the creature before moving away so I could have my turn. Flipping in the air I used my foot to impact him then sending him backwards. I then back flipped landing next to Damien twirling my dual batons in my hands.
"What's the matter? No snappy comments? Or are you just the strong quiet type?" I asked, seeing it snarled clutching his wound before I saw long claws extend at their fingertips.
"He isn't much of a talker...but I am." A familiar voice answered, turning we saw Zander holding his sword behind us.
"Zander..." Damien and I both replied in unison seeing his evil smile perch onto his lips before he prepared to fight.
"You got skeletor?" I asked Damien nodded before turning to face the creature then charged at him while I faced Zander.
"Well Athena...ready for round two?" he wondered I spun my batons in a guarded stance before he charged at me with his blade.
