Mason left three days ago to head back home. Cristiano, Mason, and I ate cake, and Mason seemed to bond with Cristiano.
These past few days have been amazing, I've missed Mason so much. Seeing him off at the airport was hard, I cried but just a little before Cristiano forced him onto the plane.
Now that I have graduated, I can officially practice nursing. I've been brainstorming, of course, the Santori family needs me but I can also help elsewhere.
I watch as the sun sets outside my office windows. My desk littered with nursing textbooks and old notes.
I practically skip to the front door when I hear the familiar creak of the front steps. I stand ready for Cristiano to walk in rumpled hair and all.
"Waiting for someone?"
I tense, shocked and scared.
I stand still contemplating my next move, the man in front of me is not Cristiano. Not any of the Santori brothers.
He is a tall man with a thick Spanish accent. His hair is pitch black and gelled back. Three other men stand behind him holding guns.
I stare left than right, trying to find a safe exit.
If only I could get to my phone.
"You know how this goes, easy or hard? I'll let you choose."

--------Cristiano Santori------
I'm signing paperwork when Lucio enters my office followed by Matteo.
"Yes?"
"Cristiano."
"yes?"
"Cristiano!"
I lay my pen down, it's too late for their shit.
A shaking Lucio hands me his phone and I snatch the phone from his hands.
"Yes?"
"I've got your bitch."
I grip the phone shaken by the voice, no, it can't be.
Marco Alessi
The man who killed my father.
He has Violet.
I fall to my knees, kneeling phone still to my ear.
"Let me speak to her."
"That would be too easy right, Cristiano?"
I shake my head trying to figure out a safe solution.
"What do you want?"
"For your empire to fall."
The call ends with a beep and I stay still, shell shocked.
I rise from my knees and grab my gun from my safe.
"Go get the men."

I have no idea how long I've been here.
Or how much blood I've lost.
Or where I'm at.
Or where Cristiano is.
I'm fed once a day to keep me alive.
I meet with a doctor once a week to make sure I stay alive.
He wants to keep me alive to lure Cristiano here.
The thought makes my pounding migraine worse.
I lay on the concrete floor with my vision blurred from blood.
I just want to go home.
I hear the metal gate being pushed open.
"Hold her up."
I'm picked up by a man while another man who I can identify as having the same Spanish accent rolls up his sleeves.
"You'll be happy to know he's close."
"But you'll both be dead when he gets here."
I can't move, my body has been drained of any energy I had left.
"Maybe I'll let you two share one last kiss."
He laughs but only a terrible evil sound escapes his chapped lips.
My head only rolls when I feel a fist smash against my cheekbone already bruised.
He only hits me a few times before leaving me alone in silence once again.
I have no energy to fight back or speak.
I just lay waiting for him.
