Chapter 26

Jungkook couldn't comprehend why he agreed to Taehyung's ridiculous plan. He started contemplating his decision as he waited in the car for the older alpha to come down from their dorm.

They were going on a trip to Nami Island, and although it would take longer to get there if they

took the train, Jungkook's father was kind enough to lend them his car so that they could get there

faster and be more comfortable.

Last Wednesday, when they got back from Namjoon's house, Taehyung suggested they should go

on a friendly date to make him feel better to accept Jungkook as his rut partner. Taehyung has never had one nightstand before, so it was difficult for him to take someone as his partner for a rut without going on a date.

Jungkook released loud laughter when he first heard Taehyung's reasoning because he was so

damn naive and cute. No one bothered to get to know someone they were using for rut because

they knew they were there for a temporary fix. He explained the concept to Taehyung, but

he wouldn't budge. He told Jungkook to take it as two friendly people going on a trip together.

At last, Jungkook ended up giving in to Taehyung's wish. They woke up early on Saturday

morning, preparing to leave before the sun was high up in the sky. Taehyung asked him to wait in

the car when they were about to leave, telling him he needed to do something.

It has been over thirty minutes since Jungkook had been waiting, and when he was about to call the alpha and yell at him for taking too long, Taehyung came out of the dorm with one big basket in one hand and a mat in another.

"What is that big basket? Why are you carrying so many things? Where will you even use that mat?"

Jungkook bombarded one question after another as soon as Taehyung got inside the car. Taehyung put all of his things in the backseat before he looked at Jungkook with a huge grin plastered on his face.

"It's our food basket. Who knows, we might get hungry on the way. We can also use the mat to sit under some good shades and relax when we get tired from sightseeing."

"It's just a twenty-three minutes drive, Tae. We won't get hungry within that period."

Jungkook

deadpanned, even when they got hungry, they could buy food.

"Just shut up and let me live in my fantasy of having a picnic, Jungkook. I've always wanted to go

on a trip with homemade food."

Taehyung glared at Jungkook as he tried to put on the seat belt. The stupid seatbelt was stuck, and

he couldn't pull it, so Jungkook leaned over to do it for him instead.

Taehyung went rigid due to the proximity of their bodies. Jungkook saw the change in Taehyung's

demeanor, and suddenly, he had an urge to tease the latter. He leaned more closer towards

Taehyung's lips, acting like he was about to kiss, and when he fluttered his eyes close, he

grabbed the seatbelt and fastened it around Taehyung. He then sat back in his seat with a feigned

look of innocence on his face.

Taehyung's cheeks were the same color as tomatoes when he realized he had been tricked a little

too late. He punched Jungkook's arm out of embarrassment, getting a loud whine from the other.

"What was that for?"

Jungkook complained, still acting clueless about his stunt.

"You know what it was for, idiot! Stop complaining and drive."

Jungkook giggled at Taehyung's outburst and started the engine, beginning their journey to Nami Island.

They blasted the radio on the total volume, singing their hearts out on the way. At first, Taehyung

was reluctant about singing as they were driving with their windows down, and he was pretty self-conscious about doing it. However, after countless convincing from Jungkook, he decided to give it

a try and felt good.

He loved the feeling of adrenaline running through his body as he sang along to the radio hits. Both of them were having such a great time making fun of each other as they tried to imitate the

artists that they felt like they arrived at the destination in the blink of an eye.

Taehyung screamed in excitement as he got out of the car, taking a deep breath and appreciating

the picturesque scenery in front of him. He had always wanted to come here with someone he

liked, which was why he suggested Jungkook this place.

But of course, he wouldn't tell the real reason

to Jungkook.
