𝐉𝐚𝐞𝐝𝐲𝐧 𝐄𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 A week later
I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off, thankfully my aunt kicked my uncle out because he wasn't "paying rent" as she stated, so the cycle had discontinued.
Getting up, I walked to my bathroom, did my hygiene and took a shower. I decided to put on a black track suit set with some pink new balances.
After getting dressed I walked downstairs and put some snacks in my bag, only to be interrupted my aunt
"You keep eating all my food, you need to get a job." My aunt said walking in the kitchen while I just ignored her
"Oh so you can't hear me talking to you Elaine." She said calling me by my middle name making me sigh, knowing what was coming next

"Next time I say something to you, you respond Elaine" She said as I held back tears
"Yes ma'am" I said while grabbing my keys to walk out the door
"Don't come back here until after 9, I have a friend coming over and I don't want your hoe ways to interrupt" She said as I nodded and walked out the door to my car

AT SCHOOL
I walked in the building seeing Asia and the rest of the group at the front just sitting down so I decided to walk past them not wanted to be bothered, well at least attempted to..

"Hey Kevin, didn't see y'all there" I said nervously laughing
"How you didn't see us here and you looked at us as soon as you walked in" Justin said mugging
"Okay maybe I did but I'm not really in the mood to talk right now" I said shrugging and he just nodded
"Hey girl, it's okay I get it we'll see you in Mrs.Smith class" Asia said and I nodded walking to class early
"Good morning Miss Brown, what a surprise to see you here 10 minutes earlier" She said as she took a sip from her coffee
"Good morning and I just needed some peace right now" I said with a tight lipped smile
"Understandable, well just have a seat until the bell rings Im gonna run to the teachers longer real quick" She said as she got up and walked out the door
I decided to take this time to put my airpods in and listen to Chasing Pavements by Adele while putting my head down
Moments later I felt my airpod being taken out my ear, so I turned to the side only to be greeted by Justin's face
"Hello?" I questioned because the bell wasn't going to be ringing for another 8 minutes
"Why are you acting distant?" He said as he sat my airpod on the table
"I'm not acting distant, I'm just not in the mood today" I said with an attitude because he didn't have to interrupt me for that
"Lose the attitude right now and what's wrong with you?" He said not breaking eye contact
"Rough morning that's all" I said trying to keep it short and sweet
"Is that a hand print on your cheek?" He questioned with a concerned look on his face
"No I just dropped the flat iron on my face" I said as his facial expression change to a "girl really" face almost making me laugh
"Is somebody putting there hands on you at home Jaedyn?" He asked sighing
"No of course not" I said lying through my teeth
"Jaedyn Elaine Brown, look me in my face and tell me truth" He said staring me down

Just as he was about to say something else the bell rung indicating it was time for class to start, making me let out a breath I didn't know I was holding
"Good morning class" Mrs. Smith greeting as everyone responded
"Today I will be assigning a partner project, where I will choose the partners and you will choose the person... Each of you will do a have human half skeleton person and you will identify and label each bone in the body, filled by a 2 paged essay on two skeletal diseases with details, please include how long the disease has been around, where does it come from, is it treatable and or curable, is it genetic, and anything else important you will find." She said making the entire class sigh
i thought she said this class would be easy...
"Settle down class, you'll have a partner helping you along the way and you will have 3 weeks to do it, although it should only take you one week" She said in a smart way
"Marissa and Clarence will be parters, Ashlyn and Alexis will be partners, Chris and Asia will be partners, Jaedyn and Justin will be partners, Tameka and..." She continued going down the list of who will be with who
"Well I guess we're going to be partners now" I said to Justin as he just nodded
"I have practice Tuesday and Thursday after school every week from 2-6" He said making me nod
"Okay I can work around that we'll meet up on the other days since you won't have nothing to do" I said smiling looking up ideas for our project
"Okay let me get your number so it'll be easier to communicate" He said and I put my number in his phone
"Okay so I was thinking we do the Grinch skeleton" I said showing him this idea off of pinterest
