25- A Young Girl's Declaration

"Oh, his eyes are open!" Shoji says as he looks back at Izuku, "Thirteen, he's awake".

"Oh, good. Can you hear me, Midoriya?" Thirteen asks as she looks at Izuku.

"Yes..." Izuku says as he comes to it.

"Right now, most of the civilians have been evacuated to shelters across the country" Thirteen explains calmly, "the ones left are anti-hero vigilante groups and rioting extremists taking advantage of what the jailbreakers started. Members of the anti-hero groups have also become exhausted and more are entering the shelters. Because most of the rioters have formed gangs, they're easy to get rid of. As the evacuation continues, we'd had to split our forces to deal with everything. Everyone's doing their best to improve the situation. The help you'd been providing outside is able to be taken care of by other heroes or the police".

"U-U...A.?" Izuku says as he tries to read the large security wall surrounding the entirety of the U.A. High School grounds.

"It's noisy inside!" Thirteen says as she looks at the blue entrance door.

The doors open as everyone walks inside, Shoji letting Izuku down.

"Those two are the kids who Shigaraki's after, aren't they?" some guy shouts as Katsuki holds Koko's hand.

"Hey, hey, calm down!" Mic says as he stands in front of the crowd.

"Hey, didn't you hear the principal's explanation?" another man shouts, "he said they'd guarantee our safety! So guarantee it! We can't accept this! We were told that it'd be safe, that's why we came! Why would you put two bombs in here? You could put them somewhere that's not U.A.! If you're gonna hide him, do it somewhere else!".

Izuku turns around as he starts to walk away when Ochaco holds his hand.

"It's alright" Ochaco says with a smile, "we're not going to let you go! We can't let you go!".

"Izuku!" Inko shouts from the crowd.

"That's dangerous!" Mitsuki says as she holds Inko back.

Monoma and the rest of Class B look after Eri inside the school whilst Ragdoll holds Kota outside as he looks at Izuku worriedly.

"He couldn't convince them?" Sero says, confused as to why Nezu's words had no effect.

"There were those who showed that they understood our thinking" Thirteen says as she looks at the crowd, "but speculation leads to unease, and we couldn't erase it all".

"Everyone, calm down!" Mic says through a megaphone.

"It must be hard for people to listen, especially when it comes from teachers" Best Jeanist says as he puts his hand on Mic's shoulder, "I'm the one who suggested it".

"Jeany?" Mic says as he looks at Best Jeanist.

"Jeanist! We came here because we believed what you said!" a woman in the crowd shouts.

"Yes. As the principal explained, this is the safest place right now, and we're thinking of your lives first" Best Jeanist says as he looks out at the crowd, "in order to make the first move, out plan was to use Kokoro Yagami and Izuku Midoriya as bait to lure out the villains. However, we were unable to cast a wide enough net to search, and we had very little to show for it. While the two of them are targets of the villains, they are two of our most valuable assets. To wear them down more than this could be fatal! It's true that this isn't the best solution. It's just the next best thing we can do. We understand that there are those who feel uneasy about this, but we wish for you to let them rest in the safest of places.
