Melanie had been looking through something's at the general store that was in town. She had come to the town to have some time away from the manor. She loved the house upon the hill, but it became suffocating. She wished she could love from Thunder Mesa and live somewhere else. A place where she could start a new life, maybe have her own business or job to make ends meet. She could even think about having her own place to live and starting a family with someone after they get out.
She sighed as she grabbed the fabric from the store and purchased the lace. She placed the material in her basket before she headed over to the lake. It was right next to Boot Hill and the boat that takes people on the river always appeared in front of the house. She sat down and just looked at the sky for a moment, thinking about what her life would be.
