𝙲𝚑. 10: 𝙵𝚘𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙵𝚞𝚝𝚞𝚛𝚎٫ 𝙿𝚝. 1

(ok i'm sorry this is pretty short, but i swear, more is coming and it's gonna be jaw-dropping... i think- bit anyway i'm gonna change a few things, which is: instead of an underlined sentence to be able to tell what Y/n's thinking, it is now a leaning sentence now bc i think it's better and the other thing i'm gonna change is that instead of two bolded dots signaling a time skip, it's bolded squiggly lines now)

After most everyone passed through the portal, we still waited on Luz... for a little too long. Amity attempted to pull Luz through the portal, and she was successful... but fell backwards while doing so.

"Luz!" Amity yelped Luz's name while helping her up. The portal evaporated behind us. "You were in there for so long, we- we thought you got stuck behind! Are you... hurt anywhere?" Amity frantically makes sure Luz is okay as she places her hand below Luz's chin. Aww.

"I'm... I- I'm fine." Luz reassures Amity that she's alright as she gently grabs Amity's hand and puts it down.

"I... saw something or... someone; but it was probably just in my head. [Luz starts to stand up.] Any sign of... him?" Luz asks fearfully. I open my mouth to answer, but I get cut off by— Hunter, of all people?

"Oh, come on! It's not like a swarm of ghosts will inexplicably appear if you say his name! [Hunter pauses in the middle of his sentence to comprehend if that's even possible.] ..I think. Anyway, if Belos was here, he's long gone now." Hunter barks in frustration.

"Well, he better stay out of our way. This mama's HUNGRY FOR VENGANCE!" Camila exclaims confidently while squinting her eyes angrily.

"Now that is a fight I'd watch." Gus jokes. I snickered.

Willow peeked behind a tree. "Okay, everyone. Coast is clear." Willow declared. I begin to walk in front of her because she noticed some red grass nearby, crouched down, and started to talk to it.

"Oh, hello, red grass! I've missed you!" Willow exclaims happily and whispers something to the grass. Behind Willow, Gus uses his illusion tricks to make two red grass fairies appear beside her.

"Willow's back, hooray!" The fairies cheer as they hug laughing Willow. I couldn't help but smile at her being the chaotic Hufflepuff she is- I MEAN THE PLANT GIRL SHE IS, I DIDN'T SAY HUFFLEPUFF, WHO SAID HUFFLEPUFF?! WHAT'S A HUFFLEPUFF?!

Suddenly, the sound of a chirp catches Hunter and I's attention, and we immediately look above our heads. On a tree branch nearby, a red bird cleaned it's feathers and flies away. Hunter becomes irritated and groans as he frustratedly yells out, "Well, we don't have time for red grass, or... i- illusions! [He starts striding ahead.] Belos had a head start, so we should keep moving until we find him!"

Gus, Willow, and I watch as Hunter walks away with a dejected look on our faces. Gus uses a spell circle to make his illusions disappear. Willow noticed Gus and I becoming gloomy and tried to cheer us up. "Don't worry! I bet we'll all feel better when we punch Belos RIGHT through the face. And yes, I mean THROUGH the face." Gus and I chuckled.

"Thanks, Willow. You're always looking out for us, aren't ya?" Gus adds as Willow smiles. "Well. someone has to! And it looks like my job here is done." As Willow speaks, she draws a spell circle and summons some vines from the ground, then rides away while standing on top of the vines. I followed her steps, but with my own magic.

I patiently waited for the others to catch up. I get it, Camila's seeing the realm for the first time, so obviously she needs to soak everything in, especially the oddly shaped trees, stars, sparkles, bright colors, and the Collector's castle floating in the distance on top of the Titan Skull like some sort of crown... wait, WHAT?!
