Sluggish, Aether sat up touching his head, "Ugh..." getting up he went to the bathroom first, washing up and letting his hair down from the messy bun he had it in. He felt unusually heavy, a bit so that he wanted to just lay around for a while.

Paimon got up after, she got ready too for another day of adventures. "It's been a few days since Cloud Retainer and Mountain Shaper came crashing in through the window." He braided his hair putting on his armor then brushing Paimon's hair, "Xiao said not to worry about it so we haven't paid much attention... but it seems to be worrying him." After checking their stuff they headed down the stairs.

Aether saw Xiao on the balcony. He was thinking, he could tell from how his eyes were closed, he was quiet and then opened his eyes sighing. With a smile Aether went over giving him a kiss on the cheek.

"Good morning Xiao."

".. Good morning Traveler."

"Have you found out what that energy was yet?" Deciding to ask he wanted to know. The thought of another Adeptus was actually quiet interesting.

"Unfortunately we found no leads." He shook his head saying, "They described it as a familiar being. I can only sense faint remains of where it has been." Closing his eyes to think some more he said, "It is almost as if the being now knows we are looking for it and chooses to hide."

"Haha, I'd hide too if three Adepti came looking for me. Not just any three either." Xiao looked at him, "Why don't you give it some time to get used to being around these parts? You guys aren't exactly giving it much freedom constantly chasing it."

"Hm.." he had thought of that then said, "if the being holds ill intentions, we must discuss the terms of its stay."

"Hm, if it was bad, wouldn't it have done something bad already? I mean, it's too late to sneak around. You guys know it's in Liyue."

That was fair point. Xiao sighed wondering how to approach the situation.

"Just give it some time, I'm sure it'll come out of hiding soon-oh yeah!" He remembered, "That ornament thing!" Aether reminded him of it. "Were you ever able to figure that out? Maybe do a little side questing to give the Adeptus some time."

"Hm.. yes. You're right." He had a point, then said, "I have looked into the item. It is known as a Star."

"A... Star? It looks nothing like one though!" He laughed making Xiao smile.

"I agree, however, it's purpose is quite similar. After some.. investigating, I've come to learn it is the product of a strong wish given a physical form."

"Huh? A strong wish?"

"Yes, it's similarly bestowed as a Vision would be. This is interesting. The gods who bestow Visions are none other than the seven current ruling archons. Yet this item appeared with the blessing of an unknown god."

"Hm.. so it.. it's yours?"

"Apparently so, I found it after discussing something with Zhongli. In the moment I was deeply wish to-" he caught himself and stopped.

"To?" Aether smiled curious.

"Th-this is pointless information!" He changed the topic, "You should be on your way soon, there is much for you to do."

"Hehe, ok, ok!" He didn't mind him not saying and said, "I wonder what sort of person that god is suppose to be. I mean.. granting wishes a physical form. That's pretty amazing." Leaving it at that he waved, "See you later!"

Xiao sighed having escaped that embarrassment. He touched his chest wondering why it felt that way though. Deciding to check on the Star he headed up go his room. They had cleaned it before leaving.
