POEM II - LOST IN THOUGHT

Though it feels wrong to care for you,
And kissing your lips seems taboo,
Your touch provides me with solace,
And your whispers are my sweetest promise.

Let's imagine we're in love for a night,
As I wrap you in my arms, holding tight.
Experience the warmth of my embrace,
And share with me your sorrow and pain.

Let's forget our troubles, just for now,
As I lay claim to you, make you mine somehow.
Let's talk of our lives and our history,
And rediscover moments of joy and mystery.

When I wake up, you're nowhere near,
Only the scent of your perfume lingers here.
Why did you leave without any trace?
Yet I wear a happy smile on my face.
