"The trouble with this bed is, that I'm the only one in it"

After waking up and feeling far more refreshed, Sua made her way to the kitchen to make herself something to eat. Since it was a Saturday, she had the gift of sleeping in just a little later before her shift at the bakery began.

She didn't find her job too burdensome, and loved the people she worked with. It could get stressful at times, but Sua managed. The main reason she enjoyed working there however was the flexible hours she could work around. Along with this, the bakery closed a little on the early side, so she could always come home and work on any homework- or study for exams if she wasn't feeling too tired.

Right as Sua entered the kitchen, she was met with her mom who was fixing herself some coffee.

"Good morning sweetie, how'd you sleep?" her mom- Sujin- asked.

"I slept so good, like I'm really feeling refreshed today" Sua answered. "What about you? you look a little tired"

Sujin gave her daughter a small smile, happy to hear she was able to get some rest before answering, "It was a long night at the hospital, a poor kid came in nearing the end of my shift who needed immediate surgery and the other doctor hadn't clocked in yet."

"Oh no are they okay?" Sua asked in concern.

"Yes thankfully" Sujin replied "He is still at the hospital recovering from the surgery but he is awake and stable" she added.

"That's good, do you know what happened?" She curiously asked. "Apparently he was about to take his dad's 4-wheeler for a drive, and when he stood up to reach over for something hovering over the seat, his foot stepped on the accelerator which made it jerk forward and he lost balance causing him to fall. But it was quite a nasty fall." Her mom explained.

"Yikes, that doesn't sound pleasant; at least he's getting better now though thanks to the best doctor in the world" she added slightly nudging her mom.

Sua's mom giggled picking up her cup of coffee and began making her way to the living room to relax for a bit.

"MOM MY FRIEND IS HERE" was the only thing that could be heard once her mom had made herself comfortable on the couch.

Sunoo- Sua's younger brother- came running into the living room with a stuffed backpack on his back, and a hoodie in hand.

"Make sure you don't do something completely reckless, and tell Jaehyoon's mom I said thank you." She said sternly. "Now come here and give me a hug before you go"

"Mommm" he dragged out "I'm only spending the weekend with him, you're making it sound like I'm never going to see you again"

"Still you're my little boy and I'm gonna miss you so so so much" she exaggerated wrapping her arms around him. To tease him a bit, she didn't let go after a while and kissed his head repeatedly.
